*****UPDATE 4 MONTHS later from last review Todays update review 4/2/2026 From issue start day of vehicle pickup in 12/2025 Updating my review — this issue is still not resolved. I was told back in December the part for my fuel door release would take about 4 weeks. It has now been months, and I have received no update or repair despite multiple follow-ups. I spoke with the regional manager (Joe) who initially seemed helpful but never followed up. Another manager later said she took over his role — I also never heard back from her. After continued delays, I ordered the part myself, and it arrived in less than a week, which contradicts what I was told. I contacted my insurance today, and due to the lack of resolution, my next step is filing in small claims court. **** I had a very disappointing experience with Crash Champions that I feel others should be aware of. I live in Indiana and initially brought my vehicle to Crash Champions in Highland, IN. The General Manager informed me they were backed up and said my vehicle would need to be towed to the Crestwood, IL location, which I agreed to since they arranged the tow. I received my vehicle back after 12 days, but shortly after driving it, I noticed multiple unresolved and new issues: The original dent was still present A body panel/trim was not fully attached (as shown in the photos) The fuel door release button was broken The vehicle now makes a noise while driving The alignment is off, and the car does not drive straight Visible panel alignment and fitment issues Due to safety concerns, I took my car to a Volkswagen dealership for a professional inspection. They confirmed that parts were not properly secured and that workmanship issues were present. Despite these unresolved issues, I was required to pay my $500 insurance deductible in order to have my vehicle released before year-end, even though the repairs were clearly incomplete. Between my insurance and myself, nearly $4,000 was paid for work that was not properly completed. When I raised these concerns: The Production Manager (Louis) suggested we “drive the car together” to diagnose the issue, which made no sense since I am not a mechanic and the vehicle was already experiencing drivability problems. I contacted Crash Champions corporate, who told me someone would call back within 24–48 hours — no one ever did. I followed up again and spoke with Loraine, who also said someone would call me — again, no response. After the dealership inspection, I called again and spoke with Luke, who stated the alignment and additional issues were “not their problem,” told me to contact corporate and my insurance, and then hung up on me. This directly contradicted what Louis had previously told me about being willing to review the vehicle. I was also told the broken fuel door release would take up to a month to receive the part — despite the damage occurring while the vehicle was in their care. The lack of accountability, poor communication, inconsistent responses from management, and incomplete repairs — especially involving vehicle safety, noise, and alignment issues — are unacceptable. I trusted Crash Champions with my vehicle and instead received it back in worse condition while being forced to pay out-of-pocket for unfinished work. I strongly caution anyone considering this location or being transferred between locations to inspect their vehicle extremely closely and be prepared to escalate immediately if issues arise.

Make sure that you thoroughly check your car once they tell you that they are done with your car. I went up there 2 times after they called me to tell me that my car was fixed. However once I saw my car, I noticed that they did not fix certain areas that were supposed to be fixed. They finally fixed it correctly the third time I went to pick up my vehicle.

update: no one ever bothered to email back or respond. dont believe me maybe try emailing that email yourself. i even tried emailing with a diffrent address just in case- no response to either. Edit/update:: After leaving my initial review, the company responded by asking me to email them directly. I did so over the weekend, and now, after the first full business day has passed (Monday), I still have not received any response. It’s disappointing that after encouraging me to reach out, the company has failed to follow through with even basic communication. This further reflects poorly on their customer service and makes me question their commitment to resolving issues I went to pick up my car and immediately noticed new scratches on the driver-side door handle. I pointed it out, and some guy brushed it off, saying something vague about GEICO not covering it, and kept repeating the same thing. I asked, “Don’t you evaluate and do estimates here?” Eventually, he brought out another man who, to his credit, at least apologized. He looked at some photos and admitted the car originally had no scratches on the handle — it was the shop’s mistake. I left the car there again. The next day, I picked up the car and noticed even more issues. Now the window on that same door didn’t close properly. That entire door — the one they had repainted — was scratched up, and I found a brand-new scratch on the passenger side door handle as well. There was also a small dent on the door jamb — exactly where they had done the paintwork. I reported all of this. Paul told me he’d take care of it. He claimed the dent in the jamb was probably caused by my seatbelt — which is absurd — and wouldn’t take responsibility. He didn’t admit fault for the passenger side door handle either, but said they’d fix it as a "courtesy." I left the car again — this time without a rental — and was told the repairs would be done the same day. They weren’t. He called and said it would be ready the next morning. I called at 1:30 PM and finally picked up the car. The results? The dent in the jamb wasn’t fixed at all — it looks exactly the same. The paint on the passenger side door handle looks like someone dabbed on touch-up paint — it’s poorly done and still visible. And the worst part? The interior side of the driver’s door — which they scratched — now feels like sandpaper. They clearly just buffed it and didn’t even bother refinishing it properly. I had hoped they would fix their mistakes — especially since Paul seemed sincere and promised everything would be taken care of. Instead, they kept my car for over a day, didn’t actually fix the problems, and I was left without a rental for a situation they caused. As for the passenger side handle — I know for a fact the scratch is new because I had that side repainted just last year, and I know every mark on it. This whole experience has been frustrating, careless, and completely unprofessional.

From the beginning service was great! The front desk ladies were such a big help and explained the paperwork and process very well. It’s my first accident and Lorena helped me set up the tow truck and guide me through the process. Raul the estimator for my claim, updated me every step of the process. My car was ready in 10days, five days sooner than the estimated date. Overall, the work quality and customer service was Amazing. Highly recommend this location for any repairs.
