RB's Automotive & Towing

I went with my daughter to pick up her vehicle as it was taken to RB’s Towing by the police while her ex-boyfriend was driving it. When we went to the window and pushed the buzzer, a young lady came to the window. My daughter explained why she was there and the young lady asked for her driver’s license and the ISP Tow Report. My daughter gave them both to her. Then, it was discovered that the trooper mistakenly put my daughter’s grandmother as the registered owner when she is not. That caused an issue which I can understand. So we went back to my car and my daughter called the police department, explained what happened and we waited for at least a couple of hours for the officer to arrive. He cleared things up and told the folks at RB’s the car could be released. Then, my daughter was told by a second woman claiming to be the “manager” that she needed a second form of identification. My daughter got back to the car upset and told me what happened. That upset me because there was no mention of a second form of identification from the first woman. The officer cleared the release because that was all they said they needed, and suddenly once that happened they needed a second form of identification which by the way my daughter did not have. My daughter went through hell the night before, her vehicle was taken from her and wound up in one of the worst tow yards ever!!! She’s lucky to have her life, let alone her license. No where does it say you need two forms of identification; a driver’s license is required. I took photos of every sign they have, and the website is lacking tow information which is not surprising. These folks are trying to hustle us and I am livid!!! I call it as I see it and I call BS!! It’s Friday and the vehicle will likely stay at least one day (one day too many) and these people are SCAMMING!!! I am a manager and that’s not how you conduct business at all. You collect money honestly and with integrity and treat people fair. The second woman was smug, condescending and a con artist playing “manager”. People are already at their mercy because they have the vehicle but they really want to take it a step further by robbing you of your hard earned money. If your car is towed there, you don’t have control of that. But, I warn you not to use any other service because their integrity is shoddy. They deserve ZERO stars. They need to be and will be reported.

My car was stolen, i filed a claim and police recovered it and had it towed to RB. The car is registered to my mother who is now deceased. I submitted the will, POA docs, death certificate and Identification. Im paying the note and car insurance is under my name and RB refuses to release the car to Geico. My car has been at the tow yard since 2/21. The finance company has allowed me to keep the car as long as i make the payments. How is this legal for RB to keep my car when ive submitted the documents??? The lady who answers the phone is rude! Every day i call and no update on when they will release my car. Im being treated like i committed a crime when someone stole my car. Today is 3/5 and Geico still can’t assess damages because RB won’t release my car. This is very stressful. I’ve never experienced anything like this! I’m truly disgusted with RB towing. The icing on the cake…i got a certified letter today saying my car has been abandoned and will be auctioned. You can only imagine my frustration at this point. I called again and was told they send that letter to everyone. That doesn’t make the situation better. Once i submitted the documents, the car should have been released to Geico.

Absolutely fantastic shop. Only place I trust with my car. I always talk to Rick and he is always very descriptive, patient, and reliable. He'll take a look, find out what the issue is, and reach out to you to get your thoughts before going any further. Also, the 24 hours towing is fantastic! I keep these guys guessing- from broken control arms due to me doing donuts and finding a curb, to a broken transmission pan from me running over a parking stop- they've diagnosed it, fixed it, and got my car road-worthy ASAP. I've never once had mechanical work get in the way of my day-to-day activities. Today my car made it to a cemetery for a funeral, but wouldn't start when it was over. I called, got a tow, met a friend at RB's, and was at the luncheon in time for the soup and salad. I just got off the phone with Rick and I'll be picking up my car later today. The bottom line is that Rick and all the guys at RB's care and keep you in the loop. When I come here, I feel entirely informed and in control. Rick has frequently taken time to show me the parts and talk me through some of the mechanics, so I leave here with a better understanding of how my car is and how it works. Highly recommended.

This place is great! They treat your vehicle with the same respect and service as a new car dealership and they make sure not to leave your floors and door panel greasse like most none dealerships do ask for Anthony he really knows his stuff and will only fix what is necessary he has done a great job on three of my vehicles and I'm pleased every time. Thanks Anthony for your service and honesty.

Got oil change from them now my motor going out. He kept asking you going bring your car back next week for I can fix it. My car was perfect before went to that shop!!!!! Don’t go there ! Or you end up Like me carless.
