My muffler system was taken out by a Chicago street under repair on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily, AAA arrived within 10 minutes, and I found Value Plus Mufflers online, told them my issue and they said I could bring it in. I was very happy because I didn't know where to bring it. When I arrived, it was 15 minutes before closing so I was thinking I'd get my car back early the following week. To my surprise they said they could have it done today! After looking under they saw it needed more work than expected, however they finished the job in under an hour at a very fair price. Thank you Value Plus Mufflers! You have a customer for life, and I will spread the news about your shop.

I visited this place in 2024. I am late writing this review, but I do not want anyone else to be overcharged. I was quoted $1,100 for a catalytic converter replacement. This was an universal part and I only paid because I had visited two dealerships and I needed my vehicle for work. I did include two pictures of the receipts so other potential customers can see how they are not transparent. I was given a receipt without any breakdown of the costs until I complained and requested one then I was told to bring the other receipt. If you look at the receipt, you can see how the owner had to "create" amounts to total the $1,100 charged to my credit card. The labor charges do not add up (it was $289.66) or the taxes. This is not a trustworthy place and people need to complain to the BBB or Attorney General's Office. I disputed the charges with my credit card company. And small businesses complain that they are struggling because business is down. Well, you shouldn't rip-off your customers.

I appreciate them for being honest. I had a converter replaced by another shop near my home. The shop that I originally went to did a horrible job. I traveled over an hour to value plus, I told them about the recent work they looked at it. And repaired the issue, I was expecting to replace the converter. But they show me what was wrong and fixed it. And the price they fixed it for was really really cheap saved me well over the $1000.00 dollars I was expecting to spend. If you’re looking for trustworthy service! I’m serious go to this place. I will definitely be back in the future for any repairs.Thank you value plus

Thieves sawed off my catalytic converter in the Bomanville neighborhood, again! I was referred to Value Plus Mufflers. They welded a pipe, which was a quick & cheap fix, compared to adding another converter that Thieves could rip off, again!
