I’ve been coming to San Jose Auto since the early 2000s and they continue to impress me year after year. The space is always updated and welcoming and the team is consistently professional, honest and incredibly informative. The owner, Tomi, goes above and beyond. He’s even helped me consult on purchasing a new car and teaches classes to mechanics so they can stay knowledgeable about the latest technology in new vehicles. That level of expertise is rare. Their prices are very reasonable and I appreciate that they never try to upsell me on things I don’t need. I trust them completely and so do all of my friends. We all bring our cars here. San Jose Auto is truly a gem and the only place I recommend for reliable, trustworthy service.

I’ve taken my car to San Jose Auto Repair twice now, and both experiences have been outstanding. The team, especially Josh, took the time to clearly explain which repairs were urgent and which ones could wait—something I really appreciated. Their pricing is very fair, and I never once felt taken advantage of, which can be a concern when dealing with auto repairs. They’re honest, transparent, and genuinely care about their customers. Josh and the entire team were absolutely amazing and I really like that they offer a small but cute waiting area with courtesy beverages. I’ll definitely continue bringing my cars here and will be recommending them to all my friends and family. Highly recommend! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

I have to leave a 5-star review for this place. I called them in a bit of a bind after another large chain mechanic shop quoted me $1800 for an oil leak & transmission leak for my 2017 Honda Sedan Accord. I called this place & got an affordable diagnostic & they fixed my leak & valve gasket for a much, much more affordable & reasonable price. Everyone was pleasant, kind, resourceful, & helpful. They were very professional & I really appreciate the work that was done before getting on a long road trip to Philly. If I lived in Chicago, this would definitely be my go-to shop hands down.

This shop came recommended by a mechanic friend as I was facing some serious brake issues. I was very impressed with the work by this group. Reasonably priced and with excellent communication, I was in and out in less than a full business day with new pads, rotors and calipers. Josh was particularly patient in answering all of my questions and made clear that they were only doing work that was necessary. I just took my car on a 4 hour drive with no issues whatsoever. I’ll be going here for my auto consultations moving forward when I’m in Chicago

Rear right pad slipped out, ruined caliper, rotors. I had just got in from Indianapolis to visit my daughter and thought GREAT in the city, how do I.. and I know I'll get completely ripped off. NO way I could have gotten 4 rotors, all pads. 1 caliper installed, 3 hours at a price I would never gotten in Indy. So clean both crew, grounds, wait space. Very professional. Really cannot give a better review! Whoever left the 1 - 4 star review needs to say waSup!!? Why? Josh, John, all those guys are solid.
