Gage Park Automatic Transmission

I spent over three weeks speaking with a person at said location about bringing my vehicle in for repair I appreciate that the person informed me every time that I called that he had no room in the shop and he did not want to leave my vehicle on the street over night. the problem is that he gave me a time and date 2 times to bring in my vehicle and each time I called ahead of time he would come up with another excuse to not accept my vehicle. I guess that should have been a clear warning . to me that the lack of seriousnes from this individual would be enough to just go somewhere else. I spoke the the gentleman one more time. we agreed on a time and date. and also the price of the work to be done. he said that the price was based on his experience dealing with the issues that the transmission on my vehicl had. not a suprise Again I called ahead of time letting him know that I was on my way and that I lived 1hr away he had a hard time remembering our conversation. but when he kind of remembered our conversation , he stated that at the moment he did not have time to work on my vehicle. he still tried to see what he could do to help as if he was was doing me a favor, so he said " I am going to ask another individual to see if he wants to do the job" he put an individual on the line to speak with me . that individual from the moment that he opened his mouth I definitely knew that I better take my Vehicle else where. Let me just say this I have worked on vehicles for many years of my life, I will not call my self a mechic but I very knowledgeable in the mechanic field. you might ask , well if you know how to fix your vehicle why not fix it yourself. i will respond I am very blessed in more ways than I can say My current career its totally different than the mechanic field, so at the moment My current field of work keeps me busy and unable to work on my vehicle so I am blessed, I am able to take my vehicle to professionals who can take care of mechanical needs. all this to say I understand auto mechanic. when the individual I spoke with last ,his language and amswers were condensing, he talks like some one who thinks that the person who he is speaking with lacks knoledge. So for this reason I will stay away from this business, everyone outthere can make your own decision . I would have appreciated if the individual who I spoke with in the begining and I do know the names. would have just said they are too bussy to take on new work I would have respected that. I believe that everyones time is very important dont waste peoples time. all that wasted time is never recovered. Sir all i can suggest is that you are not helping anyone by making someone hold off going somewhere else, if you cant take care of anyones vehicles , just say so. and when someone comes to see you in my case you were recommended . the last thing I want is for you to have an unknown get on the line with a tone as he was bothered and respond as if he is doing someone a favor. further more if you are going to get others involved let them know the price of the work that you quoted and the time that it would take to get the work done.. Thats all RESPECT......

Very professional! Excellent customer service! Marc really spent the time to answer all my questions, and throughly explained all my options. Better price than four other shops that I called. Very patient with my questions with no sales pressure. VERY happy with the work and my car is running great! Highly recommended!!

Went to this location over a week ago to inquire about transmission fluid and filter replacement for my truck. Was told by the person working at the time that they didn't have the filter/pan for my truck in stock and would have to order the part and that since it was Friday it probably wouldn't be in until the following Monday or Tuesday. I was unable to come that Tuesday because I had a flight that day. When I returned the following week I followed up once I was leaving the airport heading home. I was told by the person that answered the phone (sounded like the same guy I spoke to in person) that they did get the parts in. I asked if I could come in around 1pm or if the following day would be better. I was told to come at 9:30 in the morning instead because they had already begun to be busy for the day. I get to the location at 9:30 am and there's an older guy at the desk this time who tells me that they don't do that service there..... At the "Gage Park TRANSMISSIONS sales and SERVICE" shop?!? After I tell him that I have been speaking to someone at this shop for over a week regarding my vehicle and was told to come in I was then asked "what kind of car do you have again?"..... I told him. Then he says we'll we have a lot that we have to get done back here..... I don't know if it's the fact that I'm a black masculine presenting woman that walked in wearing a "Proud Black Woman" hoodie or if the other guy has been jerking my chain for a week and a half, but either way I'm NOT impressed because I could have taken my truck elsewhere to be serviced before I even left town. While I did not receive a repair. I was given much needed advice regarding my vehicle and its transmission. I have no doubt that the men working are professional and extremely knowledgeable. They were friendly and courteous, I will be bringing my business here whenever I have another issue.
