Had these guys replaced the flex pipe and then brakes in my Audi. Didn't compare the pricing with other shops, but it seemed reasonable so I asked them to proceed. The car was ready to be picked up the same day both times. So far no issues - I can say I recommend them, it's not easy to find a good shop.
View on GoogleMy daughter’s catalytic converter was stolen on her 2007 Honda CRV. This place was close to where she recently moved to so I thought to give them a chance for my business. BIG MISTAKE!! They welded in a new?? Converter with 2 sensors. After just under 100 miles the engine trouble light came on pointing to the sensor being delayed response. I took back 3 times and they could not fix. I told them to replace the converter that they put in and they refused. They insisted it was not the problem. I ended up taking it to Pinnacle Auto in Lisle and they fixed it by installing a new converter. Carmex won’t stand behind their work and has extremely limited troubleshooting skills. BEWARE!!
View on GoogleGreat work, great price! I brought my vehicle here due to a faulty exhaust. These guys essentially optimized my exhaust by welding part of it due to poor BMW design. Would recomend them for a quick assessment if your'e having exhaust problems. Cheers!
View on GoogleGreat people, fair prices. I live up the block and this auto shop has saved my butt multiple times. The guys here are very friendly and have always taken my car next, if not same day when I’ve called. I’m a certified bad car owner, my brakes were so far gone and they replaced them in a day much cheaper and faster than I was quoted elsewhere. They’re primarily mufflers and brakes, but they do a lot of other services, definitely worth giving them a call to see. They recharged my AC on the hottest day of last year and it’s been icy cold ever since! Highly recommend!
View on GoogleMy boyfriend took his car here after the dealership's shop said it'd cost an arm and a leg to fix his muffler. Fernando figured out it was a pipe that had to be replaced instead and got it fixed in under an hour for less than $150. Simple, great service.
