Drove in from out of town and had a lot of front end noise. Ashland Tire was recommended. They got us in quickly on short notice. We needed a ball joint replaced. We had had that repair done on the other side of the car a couple of years ago by our regular mechanic. The price Ashland quoted was about the same as the previous repair and actually might have been less expensive. There were no surprises in the final bill. Communication was excellent. They got the work completed quickly. Excellent experience

Came here for a second opinion after the dealer told me I needed front and rear brake discs replaced. Ashland Tire did their own assessment, told me my rear brakes were fine and quoted me a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealership. They have my business for life!

Overall, I had a good experience with Ashland Tire & Auto. I brought my car in for exhaust repairs, and they completed the work the same day. The repair cost seemed fair, though on the higher end of the expected range. One issue came up afterward: when I picked up the car, the tire pressure light was on. I initially assumed it was nothing serious, but by the following evening, one tire was completely flat. To be clear, I understand there's no way to know for sure whether the tire was damaged while the car was at the shop or while I was driving it home or the following day. I genuinely acknowledge that uncertainty. That said, the timing concerned me. I took the car to Just Tires, where I had purchased all four of the tires in 2022. I was told that the flat tire could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. Replacing two tires, which is fairly typical (depending on tread wear and matching) was recommended. The total cost, including tax and installation, was about $575. I discussed the situation with Ken Papas at Ashland Tire, and I appreciate the way he handled it. He didn't dismiss my concern, but he also fairly pointed out that neither of us could pinpoint when the damage occurred. He offered $150 toward the replacement cost, which I accepted. I think that was a reasonable, good-faith gesture, even though covering the cost of one tire would have felt more satisfying. I'm leaving a positive review because the exhaust issue has been resolved (so I assume the original repair was done correctly) and because Ken handled an uncertain situation professionally. I'd consider using Ashland Tire & Auto again.

Just wanted to share a great experience that I had recently with Ashland. I've been Ashland off and on for the 20yrs that I've lived in Chicago and I've always been happy with the service I get. After buying a new car several years ago, I had not used them for quite a while, but when one of my tires developed a slow leak, I remembered how they had helped me with similar issues in the past. I dropped by the shop around 8am without an appointment and they were able to work on my car almost immediately. 15-20 mins later they came back and said they couldn't find a specific puncture and that given the tires age, that it was probably a general sidewall leak. They remounted the tire with some extra sealant and because they couldn't fix it, there would be no charge for the work, which was a *very* pleasant surprise. While their work did slow the leak, it was still happening and I knew I needed to finally replace the tires. So, I started calling around to the standard shops like Cassidy and Acorn and was quoted a pretty high price. They were charging ~$100 more per tire than Tirerack prices and I would have to wait for them to get the tires in stock! While I wouldn't normally think of Ashland for new tires, figured I would give them a call. They quoted a total price that was over $100 cheaper than Cassidy and Acorn and could get the tires that day. Needless to say, I went with Ashland. I got a call later that afternoon saying the tires had arrived at the shop, dropped by the next morning, and 30 mins later the car was ready to go! Plus, they use the higher grade road force balancing machines, so the ride is extra smooth. Just can't say enough about the great service and pricing that I got from Ashland on these new tires.
