Alvaro's Tire Shop Inc

About 6 maybe a little longer I came to this tire shop to get a patch on a tire. This was probably my 5th time coming to this place and never had a problem before. This place was originally recommended by my brother who actually does business with them as one of their vendors for some of their products and parts. Usually I deal with Alvaro's brother who I believe is Alfredo. Alfredo would always give me a good price and was always polite and friendly. He was not there on that day so I spoke with Alvaro with hopes of doing business. Before he took my tire off to put a patch on it like I asked he told me the price for the patch would be $40. So I immediately told him that his brother would've charged me less than that and he replied that his brother was out of town. So I did not get the patch and went down to a tire shop closer to my house called Vulcars Tire shop on Central Avenue. I ended up getting a "patch plug" which is better than just a patch and I spent $30 on it. Not only did I get a better product but I paid less than $40 and it was closer to my house. Today I went back to "Alvaro's tire shop" because I was in the area hoping to get a new valve for a reasonable price on one of my tires because air was leaking out thru it. I was one of their first customers. I pull into the parking lot and Alvaro approaches me. I was not trying to deal with him because of the last time so I noticed his brother and walked in his direction. Alfredo, his brother, was by the car entry door and I asked him how much for a valve. The first thing that he said was that they all give the same price and they are a team so I can also do business with his brother. I tried to explain to him the situation that happened about 5 months ago when he was out of town and he said that "I always come in and complain about prices" which is not true as this was my first time back since the one time I had ever had any type of issue with a price or anything whatsoever at this place. After he tells me that all I do is complain, I still asked how much for a valve and he said $25. Mind you that before going there I was told that the going rate depending on where you go was between $15-$20 so I told him no thank you and went down the street to a shop named Juniors. $20 is what Juniors did it for. Never had I home to Juniors. First time there and they best the price by 5 bucks. So this was the last time I will ever step foot at Alvaro's tire shop. If anyone feels like they're being robbed here at this establishment called Alvaro's tire shop, just head on down the street one block, literally a 2 min drive, and get your car serviced at Juniors tire shop because these guys at Alvaro's charge to much for the same product.

I had hit a pothole and my front driver's side tire popped. after calling some other local places that either couldn't help, were expensive or couldn't guarantee they'd be able to finish the job the same day, I was fortunate to find and call Alvaro's Tire Shop. They were professional, said there would be no problem getting it done, and to bring the car over. When I pulled into the lot, they started working on it right away, at a VERY reasonable cost, and I was out the door with a new tire on in less than 10 minutes! Highly highly highly recommend Alvaro's!

Took my car in today to have my rear right tire looked at . ( Had an issue for a couple of months having to refill air from 32 psi to 21 psi ) . There was a slow leak hole where a tire plug service was done as the tire is still in great shape . At a price of $15 , especially the winning bargain of the shop being open on Sunday . Awesome job 👏
