🔴 Avoid At All Costs: Dishonest, Careless, and Extremely Hostile"Do not trust A & J Auto Repair on 31st Street with your vehicle or your personal safety. I dropped my car off at 9:35 AM for scheduled work. When I called at 2:32 PM to check on the progress—nearly five hours later—absolutely nothing had been started.When I arrived at the shop in person, the front desk receptionist engaged in blatant deception. She pointed directly to a security camera monitor, looked me in the eye, and lied, claiming they were actively working on my car at that very moment.To verify my property, I walked out onto the shop floor. When the truth was exposed that my car was untouched, the mechanic immediately became aggressive and hostile. He began screaming at me at the top of his lungs, yelling that I don’t own the shop and demanding to know how I dared to come out there. When I calmly asked him to speak to me politely, a second employee jumped in, escalated the situation, and started cursing at me. Two grown men aggressively cornered and verbally assaulted a customer just for checking on their own vehicle.To make matters worse, after safely removing my car from this toxic environment, I discovered they had lost my vehicle's AC high-pressure pipe cap. They didn't even touch the actual repairs, yet they still managed to be careless enough to leave components off my car, exposing my air conditioning system to dirt and damage.They are dishonest to your face, completely incompetent, and they will verbally assault you if you catch them in a lie. Take your vehicle somewhere safe where the staff is professional and respects paying customers."

This is my second time at A & J Auto Repair, and both visits have been absolutely exceptional. The first time, they quickly diagnosed a stubborn oil leak and fixed it right the first time. Today it’s a radiator issue—they got me on the lift fast, walked me through what they found, showed me the parts, and laid out clear options and pricing. No upsell, no surprises—just honest work, solid communication, and skilled techs who take pride in what they do. Turnaround has been quick both times, and my car drives like it should. When you walk into the waiting room, you will probably see Peggy and Mr. Mei. While Peggy is always warm and enthusiastic, Mr. Mei is more introverted and has a "deadpan" expression that might seem a bit intimidating at first. However, the more I talked to Mr. Mei, the more I realized that he is the soul of the shop. His mechanical mindset drives him to discuss the details of your car's issues with you. Be patient with him; you will get to know more about your car and truly appreciate Mr. Mei's professionalism and mechanical artistry. I was more than satisfied with my recent car repair experience for all these reasons. I will definitely come back again and recommend this shop to anyone in need.

Came in on 1/13/26 to only have my plastic bumper fastened tighter to my car since only one side was dragging slightly on the tire. Upon inspection they suggested using a screw to seal it together. The mechanic lifted my car up and completed this task, it was truly perfect. I drove my car out and my car began making loud creaking noises. I called the shop back letting them know that maybe the bumper wasn’t attached right or a screw was hitting something. So when I brought the car back the mechanic drove it and told me that I have a new problem with my swaybar links and front struts. I told him this noise wasn’t going on until immediately leaving the lot. He said that him lifting my car up caused air in the strut and now I have this problem. I emailed them to try to solve this issue that they denied creating. I’m beyond livid. Im hoping they resolve this issue with me in a fair matter.

Highly recommend this repair shop, they do great work and very reasonable on there prices.
