Overpriced and doesn't document everything they do to avoid franchise fees (I'm guessing) but now if something goes wrong with my car I can't prove they had something to do with it. An "impossible" problem no one could figure out was fixed the next day after a little pressure and questioning. Corporate should look into this.
View on GoogleWe took our 2017 Ford Fusion to AAMCO Chicago Heights on Friday, April 3, due to a stuttering problem when shifting between 20 and 40 mph. After having our car for an entire day, we called repeatedly to be told, finally, at 5 minutes to their closing time, that all the fluid had burned out of the transmission, that the transmission was scrap, and the only option was to fully replace the transmission at a cost of $8900. We were promised a copy of the inspection report that showed this need. We never received an inspection report. We paid $495 for the transmission inspection, via Zelle, and picked up the car, unsure of what to do. We spent that weekend trying to figure out options (borrow the money, finance, give up the car). On Monday, the car would not shift out of park. We paid to have the car towed to the dealership where we bought it ($195). The dealership discovered that the shifting computer had been damaged, presumably during the "inspection" at AAMCO Chicago Heights. That cost $1,400 to replace. The original problem that sent us to AAMCO? Cost $270 and had nothing to do with the transmission at all; it was a wiring fault. We are out over $2,000 directly due to AAMCO's negligence and clearly they were attempting to take us for a great deal more with their bogus claims about our transmission needing to be replaced. Avoid this shop at all costs, because the cost will be high.
View on GoogleI was over charged for some repairs I didn't ask for i went for leaking antifreeze and and and added windshield washer blades oil change and some other stuff and I think it was wrong for them to do this and know of how many other that this done to and im hoping for Corporate to get back to me
View on GoogleI brought my 2014 Kia Sorento in for a major engine repair and had a great experience with AAMCO. The manager, Julio, was very kind and walked me through the process step by step. He kept me updated with phone calls, clearly explaining what the issues were, and even had the mechanic show me exactly what was wrong under the hood. I really appreciated the honesty, communication, and professionalism. Overall, my experience was very satisfactory, and I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing reliable auto repair.

They have been very professional with the service and communications. After having major problems with my car due to an accident, it was nice to finally have a shop to look out for the consumer to ensure to get them back on the road, safely and properly.
