Woodman's Auto Center

I waited over 30 minutes just to get into Woodman’s Auto Center. I don’t usually mind waiting, but after finally being seen, they turned me down about 10 minutes later because they said they couldn’t open the oil filter cap — and the only person who could was the same employee who overtightened it the last time I was there. This was already frustrating since it’s the second time I’ve wasted my time coming here for the same issue. But what really upset me was what happened after I left. I noticed my car making a weird noise, even though they told me the oil hadn’t been drained and it was safe to drive. Thankfully, I stopped not far from the shop to get gas, and that’s when I discovered they had left my engine oil cap open. Oil had spewed all over the engine. I don’t even want to think about what could’ve happened if I had kept driving. This was not just careless — it was dangerous. I won’t be coming back, and I strongly advise others to double-check their vehicles if they go here. I don’t remember his name, but the employee who worked on my car was an African American man with a heavier build. I’m only including that description to help identify who I interacted with — there’s no offense intended.

I went in to get an oil change. After I left my car died while in drive. When I started it back up again it started shaking. I immediately took it back and the engine light came on. The mechanic opened it back up and gave me such an attitude about how she didnt touch anything else and barely looked at the car. She just said the car is old and she didnt do anything to cause that. I said it can't just be a coincidence that all these things happened as soon as I left. I went into talk to the store manager and he said he would have them look at it again. I brought it back and this time the other mechanic looked at it more closely. I just dont get why the first mechanic talked to me so rudely and condescending. I have been going there since they opened.

I called the center and asked if I would be able to get my oil changed if I arrived at 5PM. The lady on the phone verified that for me, so I came here. When I arrived, the lady working in the lube center, she said her name is Joe (black hair, back lipstick, disgusting attitude) immediately snapped at me telling me they wouldn’t be able to take my car. When I said I had just called to verify and drove here, she scoffed at me, rolled her eyes, and said to wait there. I was nothing but nice to her. Once it was my time to pull in, she was even more mean to me, demanding my mileage number with the most disgusting and deplorable attitude. I tried to ask additional questions, and was going to add on an additional service, but was completely ignored and disrespected by this worker. I asked her to please not speak to me that way and she scoffed and continued to treat me terribly. I’m not sure what I did as a paying customer to deserve being treated that way. Had I known there would be an issue with coming, I never would’ve came. I only came because THEY TOLD ME TO. I’ve been a long time customer of the woodmans lube center and and have never experienced any type of treatment like this. In fact I’ve never experienced this anywhere in my life. DO BETTER.

No less than a month and a half ago yes yes overfilled mine about a half a quart between the last Dot and the first stick bump, not a dire thing in any way, I was able to siphon it out fairly quickly once I noticed it. They should never be doing that and have automatic dispensers which are dead simple to use. I can't figure out if they're using the wrong charts or information or I don't know what they're doing. Don't do an extra turn other than the oil change: they will top off fluids in other words still maybe top off your windshield wiper fluid and your coolant. Windshield wiper fluid not a problem. Coolant? That is a serious engine killing issue. Pre-oat and hoat type coolant, they say they use some type of blend IN NO UNIVERSE IS THERE ANYTHING CALLED A COOLANT BLEND. Putting oat in an hoat required coolant system are the reverse of hoat in an oat., into the overflow reservoir. The problem with this is as the engine cools as it will when it's sitting for an oil change, any fluid that's in the overflow bottle will go back into the radiator. Mixing oat with hoat in a very quick even a small amount a few oz, will ruin an engine within a few months. A place like just tires, yes tires, will do an oil change properly of course as does Woodman's but if they top off your coolant they know what type of coolant to use and they have the three separate types of coolant that are available. There's no such thing as a blend, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. A few friends of mine have brought this up to management of the main store, and we've seen no change in the behavior. Nor have we seen a proper supply change to having the two separate types that can be available.

Not only did they increase their prices, but they also overfilled my oil—to a dangerous amount! More than 1 quart more than the max. I just spent an hour draining it myself. Won’t be coming back.
