LOF Xpress Oil Change

First time coming here, and I was absolutely blown away! The first thing that stuck out to me, was the friendliness of the staff. The clerk was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. The Tech that worked on my vehicle was professional and communicative. The next thing was the experience, the camera views to see a full 360 of your vehicle as well as the Techs underneath your vehicle gave me peace of mind and helped me feel secure in my choice. And its just cool to see these hard working folks in their element! The waiting area is quaint and homey, making me feel comfortable, while also providing refreshments!! And the monitoring of your vehicle extends into the waiting area, so you're always able to keep an eye on your baby!! The chairs aren't the most comfortable things, but I can't say that bothered me at all. All in all, a great experience, and solid prices to match! Would definitely recommend, and will happily come back!

Update: The manager called me the next day, and reviewed the footage. She assured me that they did add the oil treatment and had to come in and she replaced the rounded off lug nut and we verified the torque on the lug nuts. Allison was a pleasure to deal with very kind and respectful and her response has changed my attitude about using that location. Well done. The layout of the property was very confusing. There was many signs which did help. There was so many signs I became sign blind and missed the sign that said stop here. The guy at the window was very short with me, when informing that I was to stop 30 ft back when another person is at the order window. I ordered my oil change and then had to drive around the building a second time. When they waved me in to the bay, the guy was rushing me to come in faster, then he gives me a sudden stop gesture. I went passed where he wanted me, we get the car to the correct location. Then he proceeded to yell at me that I could have drove into the pit. ( I’m curious, if they had the greats over the pit to prevent a car from driving into the pit?) I gave them the ok to add an oil additive, but was never shown the empty can, and I am not fully convinced he added it. I purchased a tire rotation. They used an impact gun to remove the lug nuts and to install them. One of my lug nuts is rounded off now. And when he used torque wrench to check the tightness nothing moved because I am pretty sure he over tightened them with the impacted gun. I have used LOF 20 times. This was the worst service I have gotten. I used the Waukee Iowa location but I normally use the Ankeny location where I am very satisfied with. I will never use the waukee location again.

The service here was world class. Allison and Sam hooked it up. Replaced cabin air filter and replaced retainer clips. Was very impressed with the communication throughout the whole process. I am a stickler when it comes to oil changes and car maintenance and this place impressed me enough to where I will start taking my Accord here as well. Well worth the money paid.

Beware of shady upsells you will be conned into! I have been to this LOF Express location numerous times with four different vehicles and I really like their concept, but the upsells are getting out of control. Every time I have gone, they have told me I need an Oil Additive no matter what the vehicle, no matter the age, the color of the oil, etc. They always find some item to call out for why I should pay for the addition, but I go in knowing it’s coming and it’s No, No, No to all the extra crap they try to upsell. Today, I went for an oil change on a car they have serviced before. Despite the screen saying I could choose from 4 different options of oils, the employee INSISTED that due to new regulations, I must use the $129 Best oil. I just got my oil changed 3 months ago (it’s a new car) and even the screen told me that I chose the Better oil the last time. He reiterated that due to regulations I needed the BEST oil which was $50 more and said I wasn’t eligible for the lower options that were displayed. LOF Express - you have a great business model, why are you ruining it with these anti-trust techniques. Charge a fair price for the convenience of a drive thru oil change and let that drive your business instead of driving customers like myself away.

DON’T RISK IT HERE!!! I will never come back to LOF Xpress Oil Change! I went ONE time on 1/5/26 to try it out and that was the biggest mistake of my life. I guess that is what I get for using their new customer coupon Not to mention the $125 I just flushed down the toilet. 😡 Shortly after my oil change I noticed oil leaking spots under my car. I didn’t think anything of it until I noticed a whole bunch under my car. I took it back to LOF & told them what was going on. First, they couldn’t even find me in their system. They said they switched over on 1/6/26 to a new system so they had to make me a new profile. Then, the lube tech checked my car & told me that I was NOT leaking any oil & that the oil filter was also tight. He also said I was only 1/2 quart low on oil so he would top me off. He proceeded to tell me that I was leaking transmission fluid and not oil. Had me look but I didn’t see anything but was like hmm ok. 🤔 They were very nice but I still had doubts when he told me I needed to take it to a mechanic. So, I went & took it to my normal mechanic & was told there was a BAD oil leak. My question is, how did LOF not see that? 🤷🏼‍♀️. See pics below. I had never had a problem until I came to LOF & had their oil change. Now I have to pay $1,500 to my mechanic to fix the damage!! This is just one angle. How do you NOT see that???????? 😡
