Update 05.12.25: all parts have arrived and look beautiful. I do recommend calling them to check on processing times before you place an order for fabricated parts. They are a small company, so expect to wait a little longer then some of the mass producers. With that said, I will say their product is top notch and will be swapping out a competitors traction Bars to rep Upcountry Fab.
View on GoogleOrdered a custom 10 inch kit from these guys couldn’t have asked for a better looking kit. Ran into an issue with my u bolt brackets not working with my style ubolts I hit up Alex no questions asked he overnighted me what I needed. Also has the pleasure of dealing with Jen on the phone any questions I had she kept me in the loop. Remember people Rome wasn’t built in a day quality takes time this isn’t off the shelf stuff. Great people glad I had the pleasure of dealing with them.
View on GoogleThis is Upcountry Fab, based in Adel. They are not "closed" according to their Facebook. They just don't like the bad reviews here. They took my money and didn't order the main part for 13 months after I paid. I was awarded a judgement against them, they won't pay. My truck had to be sold for parts. Do not work with Alex. Do not let your company hire Alex. Go look at Iowa Courts Online to see what type of person he is.
View on GoogleTerrible experience with them They have taken well over couple grand off me and will not make it right with you what so ever also have screwed over a bunch of my buddies with projects well over 5k, alex will not do anything to make it right with you he has so many open lawsuits against him over taking peoples money. Would recommend you take your work elsewhere and not to this shop AT ALL
View on GoogleMake this the last place you take your vehicles. My husband and I were recommended to go here by my coworker (the owners brother) in October of 2024. We took my husband’s truck to get a new engine replacement. Ever since dropping his truck off there we have experienced nothing but lies and excuses from the owner (Alex Buck). It’s coming up on October of 2025 and we do not have a truck with a new working engine and we do not have our $20,000 dollars that we paid him. He said he spent our money on other things and was unable to buy our engine and never even ordered the engine with the down payment he asked us to provide him. We told him we no longer want him to work on our truck and we would like our money back. He then told us that he doesn’t have our money and is unable to pay us back. This is also not the first time he has done this and owes many others money. We proceeded with getting a lawyer involved and it turns out he is in multiple lawsuits for doing this to other people as well. It sounds like we will not be getting our $20,000 dollars back as Alex states “you can take me to court but I don’t have any money to give you”. Just wanted to warn others that he will steal your money from you and will not get your work done. I would give this business 0 stars if it Google would let me.
