Off The Line Performance

As a medical professional whose time is extremely valuable—a fact I explicitly relayed to the staff—my experience with Off The Line Performance has been absolutely unacceptable. I paid $900 to ship my vehicle to them from out of state, only to have it sit at their facility for six weeks with absolutely zero work performed. The issues began right from the start. I visited the shop in person with my brother to have a thorough, face-to-face discussion about my expectations for the build. During that visit, my service advisor, Parker, openly undermined the shop manager, Grayson. When Grayson correctly recommended specific engine management safety protocols for my build, Parker told me directly that Grayson "doesn't know what he's talking about." A service advisor openly badmouthing the shop manager's technical knowledge should have been my immediate red flag to walk away. To ensure absolute clarity, I provided Parker with a detailed spreadsheet of every performance part already installed on the vehicle. Despite having this document in hand, Parker took five weeks to send me an initial invoice—and only after I called repeatedly to track it down. When it finally arrived, it was entirely incorrect and billed me for parts I had already listed on my spreadsheet as installed, proving he was not paying attention to our discussion or the documentation provided. He also failed to include the LS3 swap invoice we explicitly discussed, and demonstrated a staggering lack of basic competence when he couldn't even answer simple questions regarding a wire transfer. Communication is non-existent. I called the shop on multiple occasions, leaving multiple voicemails that were completely ignored. On the rare occasion Parker actually answered the phone, he consistently promised to "get right to it," yet no progress was ever made. I have the phone logs and email receipts proving that my detailed messages and his empty promises were a constant cycle. Given the extreme delays, I arranged to have my vehicle transported to a different shop capable of actually doing the work. During this extraction process, I called Off The Line Performance three separate times to speak directly with the manager. Parker stonewalled me each time, refusing to transfer the call and claiming the manager was "unavailable." I asked Parker to send simple verification photos to confirm all of my parts were safely inside the vehicle before the transport arrived. Despite promising on all three phone calls that he would send them immediately, I never received a single photo. In a final attempt to resolve these systemic administrative failures, I messaged the CEO of the company directly on Instagram. Unsurprisingly, I received absolutely no response. If you expect accurate billing, basic communication, and a team that actually respects each other and their clients, take your business elsewhere. My car sat untouched for six weeks while I wasted $900 in shipping on a shop that fundamentally lacks the competence to execute a serious build.

I will like to thank the whole off the line performance crew for taking care of my 2011 wrx hatchback. Parker was amazing in giving me advice on the build for my vehicle. Didn’t try to up sale me on anything I didn’t need, he was very informative about the whole process plus met the deadline to have my car ready for pick up. I traveled all the way from Missouri to have these guys work on my vehicle. I enjoyed the beautiful shop and the wonderful customer service provided I’m coming back again very soon for more of the experience with them. They have definitely earned my respect, and trust. Even though they weren't able to upgrade my exhaust (car is still under warranty), they were very informative in educating me on what upgrades would be beneficial in the future.

I brought my 180SX in to get buttoned up before it hit the dyno, everyone at Off The Line was super helpful, polite, and very knowledgeable. Not to mention a super quick turnaround time. Parker, Cole, and Grayson were super helpful and were very transparent on any issues my vehicle had and gave me multiple solutions to choose from. 5/5 Would recommend

Bought a set of OTL ignition coils for my 2015 WRX. Immediately after installing them had terrible misfires with my engine. ECS (my local performance shop) determined it was the ignition coils and switch them back to my stock Subaru ignition coils. All problems disappeared. I wrote an email to the manufacturer specifying the problem and was told not to worry they would send me a new set. After many more attempts to contact them after not hearing anything nobody would respond to my request for replacement or reimbursement for defective ignition coils.
