Drake Garage

Drake garage is the best. Very fair prices, and amazing service. I've been taking my cars there for years for annual maintenance, and surprise issues, and they are always so accommodating. Just a few weeks ago I got a nail in my tire and they were able to get me in and repair the same day. The staff is extremely friendly, and their rating system for reporting what they find helps me plan for future possible repairs without any pressure. I love having them in the neighborhood.

Great experience overall- booking online was super easy, diagnosis and repair was also very quick! Pricing was higher than I expected for labor but on par with many of the surrounding shops. My only disappointment was that I brought up a few issues and each issue would incur its own separate diagnostic fee so I felt like I could only have one issue at a time addressed. Ie it was a few to inspect the exhaust, and a separate fee to inspect the breaks, and a separate fee to inspect the window controls. We would return based on professionalism, ease to book, and timeliness of repair though!

I have been looking for a new auto mechanic and several people recommend recommended the Drake Garage. I told him that my vehicle needed an oil change and was just passed the 80,000 mile mark so it would probably need some maintenance. They recommended that I get the oil change and pay a nominal fee for a very thorough inspection. I was a little worried that they may not have been sophisticated enough compared to the dealer I used to go to, but I did not have worried. They gave me a very detailed inspection That was easily Accessible electronically and even included some pictures. The biggest surprise was, they did not recommend any maintenance at this time. That never happens. They did let me know some areas that may need attention at the 100,000 mile mark. Would be to say, this has never been my experience in the past. Where I used to take my car for an oil change - there was always extra repairs/maintenance recommended - Along with significant cost. On average I spent about $1000 every time I got an oil change with extra repair repairs and maintenance. I am pleased to say I now have a new auto mechanic and will use the Drake Garage going forward.

I did not have a good experience at Drake Garage. They replaced battery and alternator which took 2 and a half days not sure why. But now my truck is back in the shop to have the serpentine belt realigned because they did not pay attention to details of how the belt fit on the pulleys which could have caused the belt to be replaced. More time in the shop and more expense because they didn't check their work. To add the second trip to Drake Garage, was a much better result. The serpentine belt was indeed out of alignment , and driving with the belt that way could have caused it to explode and do major damage. Ryan, the owner oversaw the whole repair process which included a new belt, idler arm, and belt tensioner. By doing that work saved a major repair down the road . He did those replacements at his expense which they missed the first time in his shop. Now that is truly taking care of his customers and a willingness to make things right which is not found in every business out there. Kudos to the Drake Garage and their staff. Friendly honest staff. Im driving my car over 5k miles a month so maintenance and upkeep are very important to me. I make an appointment they get it in and out in a timely manner and keep me updated on the work. And most importantly they are honest with the repairs.
