JB Autowerks did an excellent job on my car. The mechanic knows his work and is very responsible and professional. What I appreciated most is how fast the service was — my car was ready in a couple of days instead of sitting for weeks. Fair pricing, solid work, and great communication. Definitely recommend this shop.

Needed some basic body work for the front bumper of my GR Supra. Right off the bat, Justin was incredibly friendly, helpful and honest. Flat out said, "We don't do body repair, but we can do basic "bolt-on" type additions." Gave me an estimate, said it wouldn't take long. 35 minutes later, asks if I want to see and approve the work while the car was still on the lift. That's the honesty you don't see anymore. The front bumper looked GREAT (as you can see in the pictures), and the price came in LOWER than the estimate. 100% recommend JB Autowerks and will continue to bring my Supra there. Best of all, Justin didn't even use the tired Supra joke of "Nice BMW man!". That's a keeper mechanic right there.
View on GoogleAutomotive? Nope. More like jewelry. Very salty jewelry. So, picture this: I roll up a week ago to get my emissions test done on my VW Passat at a gas station. Surprise! They break the hood release cable. Fantastic start. I limp over to Hoffman Tire & Automotive in Fayetteville, and you know what? They actually treat me like a human being. Checked out the hood latch, ran a diagnostic on my “Inspection Now” warning light (not the engine light, calm down), and didn’t charge me a single dime. Zero. Nada. Free. Since they couldn’t fix the latch, they told me to head to the dealership. Fair enough. But instead, I take a friend’s advice and drop the car at JB Autowerks in Tyrone. Left it there for a week, and when I come back—drumroll, please—I get slapped with an $806 bill. Here’s the jewelry breakdown: • $171 for a cable. A cable. • $442 for labor (were they hand-forging Excalibur under my hood?). • $150 for the exact same diagnostic Hoffman did for free, conclusion ? The warning light still bright and clear, photo attached (Maybe JB sprinkles theirs with gold dust?) • A few bonus taxes, of course. Yes, the latch finally worked. But the bill? Saltier than the Dead Sea. Next time I’ll just waltz into Volkswagen—at least they’d give me a courtesy car so I wouldn’t have to drop another $200 on Ubers while my car was off at the spa. ✌🏻 ⚠️⚠️Update: Thanks for your response, JB — though your explanation doesn’t quite match what happened. The $150 diagnostic wasn’t for removing the wheel and fender liner (that was part of the $442 labor because you already knew what the problem with the hood’s cable was because I had already told you). The 150$ was charged for the “Inspection Now” warning on my dashboard — the same one Hoffman had already figured out and checked for free. Again, you charged me $150, didn’t fix it, and now you you’re explaining it’s something usually reset during routine maintenance. Interesting that other shops include that as basic service, but I guess at JB it’s an à la carte luxury feature. Did I really need to ask you to reset it? Translation: I paid for a diagnostic that resolved nothing (see attached photo of the results). See, my point is , being a first time customer I really believe that is not the best approach to win someone’s business and trust especially when I see things like “$30 shop supplies” that I forgot to mention, whatever magical supplies were those? Who knows… Yes, I approved the estimate — but when my hood wouldn’t open and my car was already in your shop, in the middle of an extremely busy week for my commute at work, what real choice did I have? Doesn’t make the labor charges any less… You fixed the latch. Great. The rest of the bill? Still salty. First time visit , Last visit. ✌🏻
View on GoogleJustin has made repairs to my vehicles even before he opened JB Autowerks, when he was at nearby Tristar. Tristar was acquired (by private equity I think), and their service went downhill fast. So I was pleased to see that there was a new nearby shop: JB Autowerks. Justin and his team have made numerous repairs to my vehicles over the years (an Audi, a Nissan, and a Hyundai), and I've always been happy with the repairs, fair rates, and utmost professionalism.
