Cooper Lake Car Care

This review is for the 4360 South Cobb Drive location. I took my 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in because "Low Coolant" light remained on and fluid was leaking (I wasn't sure if it was oil or coolant). Cooper Lake determined that "Heater fitting in driver's side of intake manifold was leaking coolant and there was evidence of oil mixing in cooling system present on radiator cap and in radiator. It was then determined that intake manifold gaskets were needed and all cooling system hoses were original & needed to be replaced. Intake manifold gaskets, distributor shaft seal, heater fitting, water pump and associated parts were replaced and cooling system was re-established. Upon completion of the work, the car was shaking and making rattling noises the very next day, so I had the car towed back to the shop. It was then determined that the ignition coil was faulty and needed to be replaced. Cooper Lake took care of that with no additional charge. All repairs were completed on 12/9/2025 and the car has been running great ever since. I am very excited because this car has sentimental value and I did not want to get rid of it. The trusted auto repair shop I went to for 25 years went out of business and I was very distraught over finding another shop until now! Cooper Lake Car Care is truly THE business to see for any car related issues I could ever have. I called them on a recommendation from a friend and spoke with Jeremy. He was kind and booked me an appointment for next day. As soon as I rolled in, my car was seen within minutes and the appraisal process was quick and painless. After diagnosing my issue, he gave me the invoice and not once did I feel rushed or pressured to service my vehicle asap. When I was gearing up to pay for the service, I learned that a brake check was complimentary and that part truly made me feel like they go above and beyond to assist their clients. I took my car to Cooper Lake Car Care to get a second opinion after another Mechanic didn’t fix some noises I was experiencing. While CLCC couldn’t for sure locate the root cause of the noises, they assured me that it wouldn’t put me on the side of the road/in danger while we let it get worse before fixing it. They gave me recommendations on next steps and how to keep them engaged. They seemed very knowledgeable and treated me with respect. I also love that they’re family owned and operated!!
