First of all, this isn’t my first experience with them. Every time I would go the owner would always find extra issues to try to charge me more. Checked out, but let me stick to the point. I went there to get my heat checked out he told me it was the actuator door that was preventing my heat from working. The price would be $200 But as I’m waiting, he comes back inside and tells me that I have a massive leak in my radiator mind you I’ve had no leaks, no signs of leaks nor has my truck ran hot at any point. My only issue was no heat. My AC worked very well everything was fine with my truck. So he tells me that I need a radiator, hoses also a thermostat as well as the actuator. So the price goes from 200 to like $1000 plus . I make it very clear that I’ve had no issues with my truck at any point only the heat. I don’t want to make all these replacements. I pay the 200 leave, as soon as I’m leaving off the property. My truck starts smoking and overheating. I go back Immediately and I have a leak a “massive leak” coming from my radiator.. The crack is very visible. Keep that in mind.He’s acting very suspicious at this time and he tells me if I done anything to your truck. It would be up here where the hose is at. I never mentioned him doing anything to my truck, weird right? He tells me it wouldn’t be cracked down here where the black part is at which is the plastic on the radiator? Keep that in mind also. I never mentioned him doing anything to it, but that makes me feel very suspicious of him at this time.. His mechanic who I was talking to earlier, all of a sudden, tells me that he doesn’t understand me now he don’t speak English something else very weird. Especially him and I carried on a conversation in English prior to them doing something to my radiator. So I go back to the owner And tell him I don’t understand how my truck has a Massive crack in the radiator. He shouldn’t even have been at the radiator mind you so he charges me another $500 to fix a leak that him and his employee obviously caused to my vehicle. So I tell him go ahead fix the leak even though it was his fault Absolutely nothing to do with me. I’ve been driving my truck fine up till that point. but I paid him and when I get my truck back, now my AC system as well as my heat That I’ve already paid for mind you ,is no longer working. I never had a problem with the AC. It was only the heat.. This was horrible a horrible experience/service. I’m very traumatized by this.. I was taking advantage of and treated very badly I just don’t know what to do at this point but a decision I will have to make. I would not recommend anybody to go there I’m a stand up individual and when I pay my money, I expect stand-up service. I did not get it here at all. This was a straight money grab for him. This was the worst treatment that I’ve had dealing with a mechanic I don’t write reviews, but I had to take the time so nobody else gets taken advantage of like this. I will go back and see if he can make things right but something in my heart tells me that he’s not going to do the right thing so I ended up getting cheated out of $700 and my truck is in worse shape than it was when I took it there. The only thing that was wrong was I didn’t have heat. Now I have A/c heat nor $700. I hope Read this and does better by his customers in the future. I will not be one of them, but he has to do better.. Don’t rip your customers off.

This place is so terrible that 0 would be the best review for them unfortunately there’s no 0. We drove our truck with no problems for them to fix the heat because that’s the only problem we had, Which he said was $200 to make repairs.Then he decided to temper with the radiator and claim to see a massive leak. We’ve been driving and parking the truck with no leak spot but all of a sudden we have a massive leak so he said. He wanted to charge us $1000 because of a massive leak and claimed there’s holes that need to be replaced. My husband was frustrated because we never experienced any signs of leak, or the truck heating up nor was any lights on in our truck before bringing it to him. because of that we wasn’t going to pay $1000 that’s when he said he’ll fixed the radiator for $500 we had no choice but to pay because the car was overheating. my husband just passed his emissions in November so there for nothing was wrong with our truck. The only reason we paid for everything he said was wrong because they did something to the truck and it was smoking really bad that we couldn’t move it. We ran out of funds to tow the truck somewhere else. My husband and I took the truck with no smoke or any problems only heat. Ok we are home and noticed the AC is not working now plus the heat is still not fixed. All he had to do was admit to not knowing how to fix the truck we would have taking it somewhere else. What a nightmare.

I've taken multiple vehicles to Duluth Auto Brake & Lube over the past 7 years for various reasons. I always get a fair deal and excellent service. They have never recommended unnecessary work to me. Fair, flexible, and great service in my experience.

The owner is the master mechanic here. Below him is another master mechanic and an apprentice mechanic. I believe the owners wife works there as well. The languages spoken here include; English, Korean, and Spanish. For basic service, such as an oil change the service is fast, cheaper than the competitor, and detailed (unlike other places leaving oil stained finger prints and just being rude). I have my oil service done here. There was once a time when I went to another oil service only to get pestered with needless fees and annoying sales pitches. I will never go anywhere else again. I had my car fixed here several times. They can fix anything and if they can't they will still find ways to help! This place will not rip you off. Like others have said, "It is very hard to find a honest mechanic these days." The culture here represents honesty. It is a very easy going environment. It is a great small business, trust me!
