Ken is great! He works with my 86 Corvette as well as my 79 MGB! He’s very busy but still gets it done and done right! He even takes over jobs that other mechanics can’t handle!

My truck broke down on the road, and the closest shop was KAMS Auto Service Center. Before heading there, I checked their Google reviews and saw how many people spoke highly of them, so I decided to trust them. I arrived a day before Thanksgiving. The team told me honestly that they wouldn’t be able to start the repair until after the holiday. I ended up needing to call a tow truck to Chicago, but what truly impressed me was their kindness: they allowed me to stay on their parking lot for three days, completely free of charge, while I waited for the tow truck. They refused to take any money for parking and treated me with real respect. I am sincerely grateful to everyone there. These are genuinely good people. The ladies at the front desk and the boss were extremely kind, polite, and helpful. In today’s world, this level of humanity is rare. May God bless them for their kindness and honesty. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Kams Auto Repair Shop. I dropped my car off to have some diagnostics run because of a clicking sound coming from the front of the engine. When I dropped my car off my engine cover was installed and intact. When I picked my car up the next day the engine cover was missing. When I brought it up to the owner, they immediately denied responsibility. What made this situation even worse was the way that I was treated afterward. This is my car, and I personally dropped it off and picked it up. Yet the owner suggested that my husband would “know where the cover was” even though that was not even a possibility. The comment felt dismissive and honestly sexist. I understand that mistakes can happen in any business but refusing accountability and speaking to customers this way is unacceptable. They did offer to send video of the my vehicle being serviced. I received one of two videos that were promised but it was only a 10 second clip of my vehicle without the time stamp that was requested which did absolutely nothing to help solve the mystery of my missing engine cover. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service. I would strongly recommend taking photos of your vehicle before leaving it here and checking everything carefully before driving away because apparently car parts can remove themselves and wander off during service appointments. What really pushed this experience over the edge was being quoted over $1000 to run diagnostics on a problem that Ford later diagnosed for $208. That price difference speaks for itself. It felt less like honest service and more like taking advantage of a customer who they assumed wouldn’t question it. Lesson learned to say the least.

Tim was very helpful and help me made right decisions to performed needed service on my 2014 bmw x5 with 125k. He kept me updated with any additional service needs in a timely manner. I really appreciate KAMs for their professionalism starting from the lady at the front desk and all the technicians. Most importantly, I feel like their pricing is very competitive and reasonable.

I dropped my vehicle off over the weekend for an alternator replacement. They followed up within a day with a quote, then completed the work quickly and professionally. The pricing was fair, and the entire experience was smooth. I’d highly recommend them. They’re knowledgeable, reputable, and easy to work with.
