I’m only in Florida for a limited time, and one of the hardest things has been finding an honest and reliable mechanic I can truly trust. After going to this shop 3 times in the last month I can confidently say this is the best experience I’ve had with any mechanic. Rolando and his team are the definition of professionalism, honesty, and hard work. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. They don’t waste your time, overcharge, or try to sell you things you don’t need. They’re straightforward, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. What really stands out to me is how fast they are without ever sacrificing quality. They mean business and get the job done right the first time. In today’s world, it’s rare to find people who are both honest and dependable, and Rolando is truly a godsend. I keep coming back because I trust them completely, and that peace of mind is priceless. If you’re looking for a mechanic who treats people with respect, works with integrity, and delivers excellent service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.

I have trusted Rolando and the team at Mechanics of West Orange for the past few years with my cars, and just had another amazing repair experience… In the fall of last year one day, my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee engine started sputtering. I took it to a chain repair shop closest to where I was at the time in Horizon West and the manager there told me that I needed the alternator replaced ASAP. Since it was towards the end of the day, he suggested that I leave it in the lot overnight and they will fix it first thing in the morning. But I was never given a quote. So when I finally insisted on one, he only quoted me verbally, saying probably around $1,000-$1,200. My gut told me that the urgent tactic was odd, so I decided to call Rolando at Mechanics of West Orange who told me that if I could get the car to his shop that same night, he will take a look and provide a quote in the morning. Not wanting to risk an even costlier repair, I had AAA tow the SUV to Rolando’s shop. Rolando sends me a quote, and follows up with a phone call first thing in the morning, saying that it was not the alternator, and that it would cost substantially less, with the majority of the expense being labor. He essentially saved me $800-$900 on that job. More importantly, I’ve had no issues since the repair. Fast forward to earlier this week when I noticed that my 2024 Honda Accord windshield washer fluid line was snapped. I realized this is not of warranty, so I called Rolando. He asked that I drop the car off for an estimate. We went on a Monday night, and by 10 am on the next day, he had already sent me a text message saying, “Your car is all set.” Of course I wanted to make sure they charge me for this service. When I asked how much, he responded with, “It’s on us.” That’s it. No conditions, no expectations of anything in return. An incredibly kind gesture that has clearly earned him my future business. These guys are simply amazing.

Amazing service! Rolando explained all needed repairs in an easy way to understand, and only recommended services that were actually needed. The team worked efficiently and effectively, and I got my car back in the same day even with a larger fix. Thank you Mechanic of West Orange for easing the nerves of someone who has felt taken advantage of by other commercial shops!

If I can give this mechanic shop zero stars I would, I don’t know where he gets all his fake 5 star reviews from but I was recommended to come here by a family friend. My engine started smoking on me, Rolando told me to have it towed to his shop. He calls me @7am and tells me that my head gaskets are done for, it made no sense because there were no signs of it and his explanation made no sense. I ended up surprisingly driving my car home on the thruway! CRAZY RIGHT! I thought my head gaskets were blown Rolando? I hired a mobile mechanic to come out and inspect the car without telling him what Rolando said and he told me I have a crack in the radiator. I ended up telling him what Rolando said and he said absolutely not the car runs great. He ended up taking my radiator off and showed me where the crack was and it only costed me $500 to replace, compared to what Rolando was charging me over $5,000. My mobile mechanic also ensured me that my head gaskets were not blown and did multiple tests in front of me such as the block test and everything was smooth. I believe ether Rolando didn’t want to work on the car or he wanted to replace the whole engine to make money. 👎

Rolando was very transparent with pricing and sent pictures of the issues which I really appreciate. I was able to pick up earlier than anticipated and although he didn't personally take my payment (busy working on other cars!), he caught me as I was leaving and made sure I was happy with everything. I'm so glad I found a trustworthy mechanic close to home. I'll definitely be back and will refer others. Thanks Rolando and team!
