I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but from my personal experience, I'm not happy with the work done. The transmission was entirely rebuilt according to Scott, I believe if that was the case I should not have hard or rough shifts or occasional shuddering when shifting. The worst part is that I don't have anyway to get it back to them, for them to check it out. Was recommended to this shop and although I'm over an hour away I still decided to take it here. $4800 to still have problems is diabolical.

Awesome service. Straight forward, knowledgeable and takes the time to make sure the vehicle is done right. I’ve been a customer now for a couple of years and I wouldn’t take my truck anywhere else for transmission work! Keeps his word too which is rare nowadays! Extremely grateful for Scott and his team.

It’s truly hard to find a Great mechanic when your car has problems. I’ve lived here in Sanford for 7 years and recently my transmission started slipping and would not kick into gear. Scott with Kern’s Transmission came highly recommended by 5 major repair facilities in the area, especially Gator Tire which has recently changed their name to Mavis Tire and Brakes. He made me feel so much better and less stressed! His expertise is head and shoulders above anyone I’ve worked with over the years in car repair! He explains in depth what the problem could be and will make sure anything else he finds he will get it fixed the first time when it comes to the engine and transmission! He’s affordable and will work with you on that end! I’m truly Blessed to have found him and will see him if I have further issues! 5 Stars all the way! Thank you Scott! 😊💕
