GR2 Mechanics

I cannot recommend GR2 Auto Mechanic after my experience. I purchased my vehicle from DexCar, and because GR2 Auto Mechanic is their sister shop under the same ownership, I was repeatedly directed there for every issue with the car. I trusted that they would properly diagnose and repair the vehicle, but that trust was misplaced. For almost six months, I brought my vehicle back again and again because the check engine light kept coming on. Every visit ended the same way: they scanned the car, erased the codes, told me to use better fuel, and sent me home without actually fixing the underlying problem. As time went on, my vehicle started losing power, misfiring, and becoming unreliable while I was working. Despite these worsening symptoms, I was repeatedly told that it wasn’t anything serious. It wasn’t until I scanned the car myself at AutoZone that I realized there were multiple trouble codes that required attention. Eventually, GR2 used my third-party warranty to rebuild the engine, but one of the original codes remained. Now they claim it’s an oxygen sensor that isn’t covered and want to charge me another $250 to replace it—even though this code has existed since the very first day I owned the car. What upsets me most is that they had access to these diagnostic codes every single time they scanned my vehicle, yet they never fully explained what they meant. Instead, they kept clearing the codes and reassuring me there was nothing to worry about. Because I trusted their professional opinion, I continued driving the vehicle for months, only to be told later that the mileage now limits what they are willing to do. I also had a serious issue with my front brake pads. I complained multiple times about an extremely loud grinding noise, but they repeatedly insisted nothing was wrong. They refused to replace the pads until they became so worn that additional damage occurred—something that could have been prevented with proper inspection and service. Good mechanics don’t just repair cars—they communicate honestly with their customers. Throughout this entire process, I felt like information was withheld, my concerns were dismissed, and temporary fixes were used instead of properly diagnosing the vehicle. I gave this shop countless opportunities to make things right over several months. Unfortunately, my experience was one of negligence, poor communication, and a lack of transparency. I would not trust them with another vehicle.

Received services, and it was done in no time. There was a slight problem/ issue, but they apologized and fixed it with no problem at all. Will be back for services, and they're very professional and straight to the point. Love it! God bless

Best Mechanics in Orlando Area. They have great service and fair price. Carlos is knowledgeable and service is great. Good to have a real mechanic in America. With all respect American mechanics are not mechanics they only change parts. They do not fix anything. This shop ia incredible and work like old days America and as South America. I ordered the part for my car and it arrived wrong, after a week another damaged part came. I went to them 4 times and my problem was not solved. it was difficult to receive the value of the piece that was not used

Stay away from this place! They gonna make you lose your time and your money! They have no idea what they are doing! They try to fix my car, but they never could, Always saying that the problem "could be" something else. They change a part of my car that doesn't need to be changed, and my car was still with the same problem after that. I decided to bring my car to ford, and they fix the problem in 1 hour, and the guys from ford said they should never turn off the engine light in my painel. GR2 mechanic only made me lose my time (2 days) and money. I will never come back to this place!
