C & S Transmissions

I have a 2016 Sierra1500 V8 5.3 with a 6speed 6L80 transmission. I had a check engine and would not shift right at all. C&S Transmissions is the place to take your vehicle. Carlos and Carlos Jr will take care of you. When I got there, the owner Carlos was outside. I explained breifly what was going on and he told me "Let's go for a ride". I explained everything that happened. Check engine light, rough shifting, would take 2 to 3 sec to catch reverse, would Rev up randomly and even could hear a grinding noise from time to time. He explained to me everything that needed to be changed and addressed. While I was in the office getting the cost written up. I handed over the keys to Carlos and by the time I stepped out the door my truck was already on the lift being worked on. They told me it'll be ready by tomorrow. It could take up to 2 to 3 days but we'll have it ready by tomorrow. My Trucks shifting like brand new. Shifting amazing as well as downshifting when slowing down and coming to a stop. Also they offer a high performance ball bearing upgrade instead of the plastic stock dealership part for the torque converter. Definitely worth it! Couldn't be happier Army-Veteran

I took my Yukon XL to C & S after a supposed "rebuilt" transmission I had installed by a shop in Hialeah failed after just over a year. I should have known something was wrong, because it occasionally demonstrated a few little quirks. I almost gave them the benefit of the doubt and took it back to them for a second repair. Thank god I didn't because it was revealed to me that the tranny had never been dropped before; they probably just did a flush and maybe replaced the solenoids, all in place (at best a $500 job). I ultimately had Carlos and Son replace the tranny and its been running like butter for 6 months. Don't be dismayed by how quickly they can replace your tranny. It's actually a good thing. It means they have properly rebuilt tranny's in stock (which in itself is a good indicator of a prosperous shop, since that means they have the cash flow to maintain such expensive inventory) Don't waste your time and money anywhere else. Just visit these guys and have it repaired correctly. Shout out to my cousin Noel for the recommendation.

Love these guys, father-son combo. They were straight up, fair, and honest about what needed to be done. I had a clutch fail on me, got towed over to their business and was quick to get the work done. Dropped it off on a Friday, had it back Tuesday given that they were closed on the weekend. I’ve had 2 cars at this facility already and they have done a great job and explained the repair on my transmission very well. They also returned my car in a timely manner. Very honest with there work and I highly recommend them. It’s hard to find people like this these days. 👍
