I recently (about a month ago) took my 2017 Hyundai Accent 🚗 in to get the AC checked because it was barely cooling at all 🥵. My father told me the compressor was bad, but didn’t believed him so that’s why after reading the good reviews went here. This shop had a special for AC diagnostics for $50 💵, so I figured it was worth a shot. It wasn’t busy when I arrived 🕒, and I appreciated that they got to work on it quickly ⚡. About an hour and a half later, they gave me the bad news 😬: my AC compressor was essentially dead 💔. They went ahead and properly refilled the AC system with Freon ❄️, but there was no change—the AC dials showed no movement 🚫, and both the high and low sides were basically the same. They quoted me almost $1,000 💸 just for the compressor (without warranty) and recommended replacing the condenser as well due to potential contamination (together with warranty), which would have been another $600 😳. All in all, I was looking at around $1,600 💰, and honestly, for a car 🚗 like mine, it just wasn’t worth that kind of investment 🙅‍♂️. Instead, I decided to tackle the repair myself 🛠️. I bought a new compressor, condenser, expansion valve, new gaskets, and Freon—all aftermarket parts from Amazon 📦. I also had to get a vacuum pump 💨, which was $150 (the rest of the parts came to about $250). The repair took the better part of a day ⏳ since I’m no expert 🤓, but my father 👨‍🔧, a licensed HVAC tech, helped me recharge the system properly—or at least as close as we could ✅. Together, we figured everything out, and the system now cools down to 39°F 🥶 with no leaks so far after a month. I know these are aftermarket parts, so I can’t guarantee how long everything will last ⏱️, but if it makes it two years, I’ve gotten my money’s worth 💯. This car is just for work 🏢, so spending $1,600 on repairs wasn’t realistic 🚫. On top of that, I feel good about doing it myself 💪 and saving roughly $1,200 💵. The vacuum pump will definitely be useful in the future if something goes wrong again 🔧. Also found other repairs that needed while I took things apart, and was praying I could put it all back together. So I up replacing the radiator too as the cooling tank was broken. Anyway overall, this was a really satisfying experience 😎. I not only fixed my car AC for a fraction of what a shop quoted me 💸, but I also learned a lot along the way 📚. This Hyundai Accent isn’t a long-term investment for me—I’ll likely sell it in 3–4 years 🕰️—but for now, it’s running cool ❄️, and I feel accomplished having tackled the job myself with my father’s help 👏. I do recommend this shop 🏣, pricing it’s fair for what repairs ⚙️🧰 I needed. I found cheaper shops with the same OEM parts but still didn’t make sense for me to spend over a grand. I rather pay off my Lexus early. Staff was respectful, I’m sure they were disappointed when I declined the repair. I’m sorry, now if they gave me an aftermarket quote, like $1000 💵 for the two things, I would of paid it and got it done there. I don’t know 🤷‍♂️, anyway keep up the good work.

Freedom was great to work with! We were supposed to get our windows tinted at another local shop but their doors were still locked 15 minutes after their opening time. We called Freedom and they got us in immediately. We even got a free upgrade on the front window! Highly recommend!

Got a screw in my tire, went here to get it fixed, Boss man (didn't get his name, i'm afraid) looked at it, said couldn't fix as it was in the sidewall. Reminded me i might have warranty. Alex changed my tire for me (i am disabled) no charge. When i went to tip him he said just pay it forward; give it to someone in need. ... continue from today March 2, 2026: I had Alex order the tire needed which came in promptly, and i got a phone call (no warranty from the manufacturer.) Went down there, they insta lled it right away and away I go. Very helpful gentlemen, Jake the ASM, and Alex. I am now a BIG fan of the shop, and throw them my business and give out recommendations. Fast, friendly service! Finest kind! Fast, friendly service, good attitude from all. If and when i need tires, i will see them first.

We’ve been wanting to tint the windows in our daughter’s Corolla for a long time. I had driven past Freedom Tire & Automotive hundreds of times since they’re close by, and knew well they were Llumar dealers. Today I walked in, they explained the options and prices, and I went with their IRX Ceramic. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will consider bringing my vehicles over for other auto repair needs.

I popped into Freedom Tire & Automotive on the fly after I picked up a large nail in my tire. Even though they were getting ready to close up shop shortly, they still made the time to take care of me and repair my tire. 20 minutes later I was happily on my way. On top of their first rate service, I was informed that there would be no charge for the repair! Thank you so much! I'm planning to bring my vehicle back in for some of their other services and you should too.
