I have had First Performance Auto do work on my 1997 Ford Mustang, most recently had my air conditioner fixed after years of blowing air out of the defroster, not the vents. It needed a cooling fan and there was a hole (leak) in a hose. Now, it is blowing ice cold air, which is a very nice change!! I brought in my 05’ Tacoma (210k miles) for a code thrown for O2 sensors. They diagnosed it and I needed two sensors replaced and both cadillic converters. I had the repairs done in two sessions due to my budget. Long story short, they got it all done, check engine light is gone. They gave me fair prices & were very honest. I am very satisfied with their service and highly recommend them!

UPDATE: 4/05/26 Cadillac repaired the car Still under warranty. Had nothing to do with the air conditioning system. This Company took 768.82 for AC repair Diagnosis And said I needed a new AC Compressor. SCAM SHOP ALERT . BEWARE The P0128 code on a 2019 Cadillac XT5 indicates the engine coolant temperature is below the required thermostat regulating temperature, usually caused by a stuck-open thermostat or a faulty coolant temperature sensor. The primary fix is replacing the thermostat, often accompanied by cleaning or replacing the sensor and checking coolant levels. UPDATE: 11/5 4 months later . After clearing the codes with a simple car scanner the AC resumed working. YouTube video I found mentioned the problem was a bad temperature thermostat which turns on the fan And turns off the AC unit. I stopped by the Cadillac service department And it’s covered under the 75,000 mile Drivetrain warranty. 1100 repair Without Warranty. Thermostat is located under the Intake manifold. I hope the shop owner reads this and educate himself on Proper diagnosis. I’m just a do it yourself Mechanic but eventually, I figured out what the problem was Which had nothing to do with the air conditioning system. Telling the customer he drives a piece of shit which he did in this case only tells me he couldn’t figure it out. The car was not low on freon. The Shop charge me $700 for a cat and mouse repair because they Could not diagnose properly. I’ve know this shop since they opened. They used to be an honest shop and have become a parts thrower and if the parts don’t work you still get charged . I took my XT5 Cadillac in for a no AC repair . No power to the AC they ordered a clutch relay fuse . Was not the issue and they still charged me For the fuse and kept my original, which was obviously still good. The previous shop five minutes earlier before going into the shop checked the AC Static pressure 120 lbs . He said it was full Performance one suggested a 379.99 Evacuation test. They said it had to be done in order to show adequate Freon In order for the AC to kick on. The static test from the previous shopped which I mentioned Was plenty of Freon. You can be 1 pound short And AC will still kick on as I’ve just learned from another shop. They also charged me for 1 pound 150.00 Claiming it was low. It obviously wasn’t According to the static test. 120 lbs. Not to mention, they charged me a debit card fee of 25.94 (not credit) Bill totaling 768.82 and that the Compressor was bad. The Evacuation test Costing 379.99 Wasn’t even necessary . The system has no leaks . Static test 120 Was enough information to eliminate this And they didn’t even do one. Going to another AC shop today. I will update The conclusion later And what the other shop recommend recommends. I think the problem is electrical. I would like my $41 fuse back or a refund. And debit card transactions are not Considered credit Fees. 25.94 And the 150.00 Charge for Freon when the system was full . Just another Unnecessary fee. Did not find the leak. Cryptocurrency A 551.00 evaluation would’ve been fair. I should’ve denied the evacuation test. Lesson learned They obviously want to sell you back the Freon You already own. They took 4 hours . The shop below took 1 hour solved the problem and charged me ZERO. They first checked the Freon level with gauges and then looked for a leak. And found it successfully. Information documented below. Next day Update: Riches car cool in Longwood ran a full Diagnostic this morning and gave me a printout for free. They used a light and discovered Freon residue in the drip tube coming from the evaporator coil. Rich was in disbelief reviewing my Bill from performance 1 and the lack of proper diagnosis. The compressor is good but the car appears to have a leak coming from the evaporator coil which is located under the dash. This repair estimate was free but I offered to pay for the hour They spent , unlike the 4 Riches car cool Longwood were very helpful and knowledgeable about AC system diagnostics. Only took 1 hour .
