The Transmission Man

100% 5 star review---Ron is a super nice guy. After calling around to Ammco, Firestone and other family owned auto repair shops (transmission) I ended up calling him and immediately felt honesty. I was there within the hour and walked right in and felt 100% good energy. We took my car for a drive and did a diagnostic scan and the energy was good and he knew what he was doing. I was ready to pay him for whatever he suggested. He did not take advantage of me. The $135 diagnostic was all I needed to feel better about my next decisions. I'll forever refer The Transmission Man and Ron.

Never go to the shop. He has a Scam artist. Every step of the way he will make you feel uncertain about anything he’s done with your vehicle. He has taken almost $10,000 for me and left me with thousands of dollars of repairs to do to fix his screw ups and damage to my car. They rebuilt my transmission spring 2024 for $6500. Immediately the car is overheating a running poorly. The claim it’s not the transmission. Eventually a code shows the torque converter is having problems which is a main part of the transmission. They replaced it and charged me a $300 transmission service fee. When we picked it up there was a clicking noise but they said that’s normal. It didn’t make any noises when we dropped it off. Come to find out the flex plate has a huge crack in it. Now they are trying to say those break on their own. Several mechanics tell me it’s because of the bad job they did replacing the torque converter. They are telling me they won’t fix it.

My mini cooper overheated and the radiator blew while away from home. I went to the transmission man and Ron assured me everything was going to be good and had my car fixed within the day so that I could get back home! Quick, easy and affordable, definitely coming back for any work.. THANK YOU RON!!!

don’t know if it’s because this man is getting older or what, but he’s now out here scamming people—especially the elderly—and it’s absolutely wrong. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and should not be happening in America anymore. He’s charging people for car repairs but actually causing more problems and then joking about it afterward like it’s funny. That’s not just bad business—it’s unethical and cruel. I’m warning others: be careful. We have documents and proof of everything he’s done to me and my friend. We even took the car to multiple other shops, and every single one said the same thing—he made things worse on purpose. This man has been conning people out of their money, plain and simple. He’s lucky I even gave him one star. Lawyers and other authorities will be involved because people deserve justice. Enough is enough—this can’t keep happening.

He even suggested a good rental car company right around the corner, as I needed to continue my trip to San Diego. His expertise and commitment to customer service turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. My car is now back on the road, running smoothly thanks to Ron and his team's great work.
