My family and I road tripped to LA from WA state when the worst thing happened to us: our car broke down due to engine failure on the highway, just an hour away from our destination. What a horrible night that was, and a huge damper to our trip. Luckily, we chose Young's because of a trusted family member's recommendation. Despite the unfortunate situation & STRESS of having to get the engine replaced, John provided us quality & speedy service which allowed us to make the long drive home safe & sound and in a timely manner. The new engine runs great. We're very grateful for his patience & honest service, which in turn made our extremely stressful situation more bearable. Would highly recommend, thank you again!!

I have two separate experiences with Young’s Auto Repair that were very positive and for so long I drive in Los Angeles I will go to him and recommend Young’s Auto Repair for fixing and what not. Experience one: my car had a service error that said that gas fumes were leaking from my gas tank. A smog issue. I had initially went to a different auto repair that with their smog diagnostic tool said they’d need my car for over night and it would cost 200+ but they didn’t have space and to come back. I went to Young’s Auto Repair where John assessed the situation and said I need not any sort of fixing and that the smog issue was most likely from not screwing on my gas cap on tight enough. This was all within five minutes. Although the other mechanic may have come to this conclusion upon further examination, his failure to do so initially makes him inferior to Young’s Auto Repair. The second is more recent. My splash guard was bent and scratching the floor when I was braking. I initially just wanted to get that clipped back onto my car but John said I needed to also replace my brakes and rotors (I haven’t touched my brakes in 100k miles 😱) so I knew there was no upselling involved. He did all three services in a professional and timely manner and I was able to go to work after. He also recommended I order my own parts for some other issues I had and to come back in to get them fixed. Overall each experience I have had has been very positive and has someone who is not car experienced it’s a relief to go somewhere where I am not getting scammed. There is integrity I can sense in John.

Young’s Auto Center – 2230 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles I came here for an oil change and an oil leak repair, and paid $330 for the service. A few days later, I went back for them to check it again to make sure there was no more leak. When I arrived at 3 PM, Young told me he didn’t have space to lift my car and asked me to return at 4 PM. I came back just after 4, but he was still busy. After waiting about 15 minutes, I saw him take out a car — then immediately pull in two new customers for oil changes, leaving me waiting again. When I asked why those cars were being taken in before me, even though I’d been there first, he admitted it was his mistake and apologized. When they finally checked my car, he apologized again but said, “I’m going to be honest with you — this is a business and I need to make money.” I was shocked to hear that. I told him that after already paying for their service, I couldn’t believe he would say something like that. This experience was very unprofessional and disappointing. Instead of valuing a returning customer, he prioritized quick new jobs. It’s unbelievable that a business would treat loyal customers this way. Be careful if you go here — it seems they care more about quick profits than customer satisfaction. If I could give this place 0 start I would do it.
