I stopped by Woody's to get my oil change the other day because it is very conveniently located near my home. I went in and spoke with Woody and asked his hours. He stated his hours and told me that I could drop my car off the next day at 11:30am. This was my first time with this shop and everything seemed on the up and up. However, the next day I drop my car off as agreed and waited for an alert that the car was finished. Once completed, I walk over to grab it and the very first thing I notice is that my rear quarter panel and left rear driver side wheel has black scrapes on it. I walked closer to inspect it and it appears that it had been caused by a big truck tire. I immediately speak to Woody and ask him what happened and his reply was that it was already there. I tell him that it was not and that I'm meticulous about my car and that if I had seen that. I would not have brought it in for an oil change. I would have been trying to find out what happened and putting all my efforts into getting it addressed. He swears that it was like that and I swear that it was not. He stated that he did not mention it to me because he assumed that I already knew it. Every shop I have ever dealt with has brought any discrepancy with my car my attention to avoid things like this. I was very cordial and did not over re-act. I asked for camera footage and he stated that he needed to call the owner to come over and show me the feed. I noticed while waiting that there are big truck tires positioned exactly where they would need to be in order for someone to drive my vehicle inside for the repair and scrape my the driver side. I did not say anything because I did not want to accuse anyone of anything without proof that the damage was not there prior to me dropping it off. While waiting we speak on several possibilities suggested by him of what could have happened and they all involved a scenario of me walking to my vehicle and not seeing the damage before getting into my vehicle and driving the half a block to his shop. My roommate walks her dogs everyday and she stated that when she walked her dog that morning just before I left. She did not see any damage to my car. She said she would have altered me of such. I sometimes park it right in from of the Sonesta ES Suites Hotel. I wipe my car down everyday before I drive off and there is no way in hell that I would not have noticed that damage. I then tell him that the only thing I can logically deduct is that someone hit it while it was wating to be serviced. He said that that could not have happened and I said lets just wait for the camera footage because it was his word against mine at this point. I must state that there was no arguing, yelling or anything unprofessional about our conversations while waiting for the camera guy to show up. Although he did imply that I already knew it was there before dropping it off after I had already told him I was 1000% sure it was not. He then said something about how my roommate walks her dog and that she could not have seen the damage which was an asinine statement in itself because how could he know if she could or could not. I calmly waited for the footage. Well, the footage finally arrived and after all that time it turned out to be too grainy to see any details of my vehicle. I could see that car but not clear enough to see any damage. At that point I decided that he was never going to own up to it and that I should just let it go. I thanked him for letting me see the footage after telling him that it does not confirm or deny anything. I know for a fact that the damage was not there prior to dropping it off. I just had to eat this one and I unfortunately will never take my car there again for anything. That sucks because it is so conveniently located to me. Oh well.

I got my catalytic converter replaced after it was worn out. It was pricy but definitely worth it. Woody is a nice guy who doesn’t bs you on the repair. Now my car sounds like it did in high school.
