Great experience. Joe was on time and friendly. Honest and easy to communicate with. Responsive to texts. My car wasn't going to pass SMOG and it was mid-November and I needed to complete SMOG by 11/30/25. Joe did a thorough scan showing us the problems with the scan. After replacing a cracked hose, Joe diagnosed an active front engine mount exhaust leak with his smoke machine. Showed us everything and explained it. Even sent me the video. I bought my own part from the Longo Lexus dealership (great wholesale prices online). Today, I passed SMOG. Joe goes step by step and is a good diagnostician. Other mechanics didn't really have the same mindset. They seemed to want to put in expensive parts. In fact, three established shops that have been around for decades, one with over 800 reviews, said that Joe's front engine mount exhaust leak diagnosis was wrong. They were wrong. Had I done what most of the shops said, I would have spent a ton of money and still not have passed SMOG. Joe only wants to fix the car problem. If it's replacing a $2 hose that solves everything - that's fine with him. He doesn't want to install parts you don't need. Being mobile, he doesn't have the overhead a shop has. Honest.

Joe is seriously the man. None of the usual tricks and games at shops, trying to sell you on parts you don’t need or over exaggerating labor, even when you know how long a job actually takes. This city is full of mechanics that will work you over. Joe is not one of them. Really nice and pleasant dude. I’ll definitely be calling him for future car needs.
