Took my car because my brakes felt funny and there was a leak behind one of my rear wheels. I thought it was brake fluid but it turned out to be gear oil getting through the axel seal. Got everything done to be sure: new brakes, new brake lines, and new axle seal. Service took a week and I spent a considerable amount. The leak was worse when I got the car back. I went back to the shop and was told to take it in on Saturday so he can look at it again. The day came and when I called my time got pushed back, I called again and he still wasn’t ready for me so he said he would call me and let me know when to go in. I never got the call and it’s been over a week now. The mechanic was nice but in my experience a con, took my money and didn’t fix my problem. Lack of ethics and communication skills.

Always such a great experience visiting Sal's Canoga Brake Service. This is truly the place to go if you are having any issues with your brakes or tires and other minor issues. Sal does not try to overprice anything and is very reliable. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

This shop is amazing. Broke down in San Fernando went to another shop closer to where I broke down and they OVERCHARGED me for an alternator and found that the ball joints were "very dangerous". Took my car to Sal the next day completed the ball joints in 3 hours and $200 less than what the other shop was going to charge me. He also showed me the bad parts on the car before and after the job was completed. This shop is professional and HONEST! I highly recommend Sal. I've been going to him for years and he has never done me wrong.
