Russ' Transmission is the best. The manager, Mike, is friendly and honest, showing the cost for everything and taking the time to explain exactly what was done. My car is running better than ever. I highly recommend Russ' for anyone serious about getting their vehicle repaired.
View on GoogleI brought my 1984 Toyota Corolla SR5 into Russ Transmission for a free diagnostic, and I seriously regret it. When I picked the car up around 1 PM, it seemed fine at first. It drove it for a couple of hours, which made me think everything was okay. But later that night, around 9:30 PM after getting off work, the car suddenly became extremely hard to get into every gear—even though my clutch had been working perfectly before I brought it in. Within about 10 minutes after leaving work , the clutch pedal went completely soft and basically stopped working altogether. This was NOT an issue before I brought the car in, and the timing is way too coincidental to ignore. I took it in for a simple diagnostic and got it back with a serious problem the same day. To make things worse, when I tried to address the issue, the manager, Mike, was incredibly rude and loud. He kept interrupting me and wouldn’t even let me explain what happened with my car. Instead of trying to help or even listen, I was met with attitude and zero accountability. Between the sudden mechanical issue and the way I was treated, this experience completely destroyed my trust. View on GoogleI have taken both of our cars to Russ's Transmission, for service. They have fair prices, do good work and their warranty on their rebuilt transmissions is better than every other place I spoke with. That speaks loads to me, that a company is that confident in their service that they offer a superior warranty. Recently took our second car in for service. The issue was harder to diagnose, because of how infrequently it occurred. We did the recommended service and the problem went away. I will say they are very thorough in their diagnoses and take the time to show you what they found.They really do take care of their customers. I would recommend them to anyone.
View on GoogleYou get what you pay for. If you're looking for an affordable transmission rebuild then go to a cheap mechanic! Mike was courteous and straight to the point no sugar coating here. Not too many mechanics like to work on older cars but they rebuilt my 67 Plymouth Belvedere and it runs great now!! Final price and turn around time was as promised. Another satisfied customer!
