My whole family comes to Mike. We have been customers for >18 years. He explains to you what’s wrong, will give you a reasonable estimate, and fixes it. If he finds something else he will let you know before he tries to fix anything further. He tries to work w you to find parts that are more affordable when possible. He also guarantees his work if it needs to be brought back he makes it right in all these years it happened just once. I bring my car to him for every oil change and repairs. He completes repairs in a reasonable amount of time. Finally, he’s always been professional and courteous.

I’m not usually one to give out reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with Mike’s Auto Body in Van Nuys. Miguel did an amazing job taking care of my car. I own a Mercedes 2008, and I needed shocks and strut work to make it smoother ride. I started with Costco’s auto shop referral program, but I decided to try another place for my repairs. I chose Mike’s Auto Tech, the main reason was that Miguel was so genuine and sincere his labor rate was better than the other three shops I got quotes from. I didn’t have to get original Mercedes parts, but for my 17-year-old car, I did get German-made parts. I went to three other body shops to get quotes. Everyone wanted to replace the entire shocks and struts, but Miguel found that some parts were just loose and just needed to be tightened, which saved me an extra $500. Miguel could have easily replaced all the parts, but he chose to save me money. Mike’s Auto Tech also provided warranties like other body shops. The ride home was smooth, and I’m so glad I went to Mike’s Auto Tech. Bottom line: Mike’s Auto Body is your first and last call. The only reason we shop around is because not everyone is honest.

I recently had a bad experience with this shop. Mike used to be very good on fair pricing and good work, I have been trusting him with my eyes closed until the last repair. - About 4 weeks ago I took my vehicle due to a coolant leak, and regular maintenance. He replaced hoses for the coolant leak, i gues he flushed to fill up with new anti-freeze (hoses are after market which should be pretty cheap) plus new air filter and oil change. For this work I was charged $400, and I paid it because I trusted this shop. - About a week ago coolant started leaking again, I took it to this shop again and Mike calls me later that the radiator is damaged, and that the replacement will cost me $500 and he said the cause is because my radiator is old, but my logic is that the hoses that was replaced was not carefully done, so I was not going to pay him $500 to replace with an aftermarket part so I picked my car back. Finally after looking for the part myself I bought the original part from a lexus dealer for $126.69 and replaced it myself in less than an hour. So what bothers me is that Mike's Auto Tech was going to replace an aftermarket part and charge an insane amount of money to replace it, so if I bought the part for $126.69 plus $24 for the coolant to refill, This shop was going to charge me $349.31 for an hour or less of work to replace the part. thats insane! and am very disappointed with this shop now. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I found Mike's Tech through word of mouth over 6 years ago and this has been my go to place since then. I've brought my car in for a number of different repairs and Mike's has always been quick and very reasonably priced. Because they are so good, they can be busy, but they always do their best to get you back on the road ASAP. Mike's Auto Tech gets a 3 thumbs up from me.
