I have used LEXSERVICE in Harbor City, CA for all service requirements on the several Lexus models I have owned over at least 20 years. I give them much of the credit for the fact that I have not had an operational problem with one of these Lexus cars during the period I have used LEXSERVICE. They are very knowledgeable regarding Lexus cars, and their service prices are reasonable. And I do not have to wait an unreasonable time for LEXSERVICE to complete the necessary services.

I can't say enough good things about LexService and Steve, the owner and head mechanic. I brought in my 2002 Lexus IS300 for some serious engine work—head gasket replacement, water pump, full engine reseal, new oil pan, and a new timing belt. It was a big job, and I wanted it done right. Steve absolutely delivered. Steve clearly knows these cars inside and out, and he took the time to walk me through everything that needed to be done. He was honest, thorough, and never tried to upsell me on anything unnecessary. When I got the car back, it felt like it was running better than it had in years—smooth, responsive, and just solid all around. You can tell a lot of pride and precision went into the work. If you drive a Lexus—especially an older model—and want it taken care of by someone who truly knows what they’re doing, LexService is the place to go. Huge thanks to Steve and the team for bringing my IS300 back to life!

I brought my vehicle to LexService because my headlights seemed dim and was advised to replace both factory HID bulbs for nearly $600. The right bulb was initially installed incorrectly and had to be corrected on a return visit. Unfortunately, even after that adjustment, the expensive new bulbs made little to no difference in nighttime visibility. When my vehicle was brought in again to address the issue, what should have been a routine service dispute became unnecessarily confrontational. The owner made unprofessional personal remarks and repeatedly changed his position regarding a refund. After removing the nearly new bulbs, the shop refused to issue even a parts only refund, leaving me no choice but to file a credit card dispute for the retained bulbs. To make matters worse, the shop also retained then refused to provide me a copy of my original invoice. I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair, and even after the agency contacted the shop, the invoice was still not provided. Although, I am appreciative that the shop ultimately issued a full refund, the overall experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing.

I have always had a good experience with Lexservice. They give me a price and that pice never changed. Also I never have had any issues with my car once I had it service. I trust Lexservice more than I trust the car dealership or any other mechanic. I feel they are honest and the service is great.
