LA Tires is my go to spot for anything tire related. I come here for new tires, used tires, flat tires, tire pressure checks, and pretty much anything else involving tires. I also bring my car here for mechanic work because they have a great mechanic on site. What really stands out is how honest and friendly everyone is. It is rare to find a mechanic who actually tries to help you do the least amount necessary instead of pushing extra work. Several times they have told me, “Let’s keep an eye on it and see if the problem goes away,” which I really appreciate. Axel, the manager, is especially nice and always makes the experience easy and straightforward. Everyone there is super friendly, professional, and honest. It is hard to find that kind of trust these days, and that is why I keep coming back. Highly recommend LA Tires for tires and mechanic work.

Had a pretty concerning experience here on Tuesday. I came in for a simple tire repair on a small puncture -- the shop inspected the tire and offered two patch options. I went with the one they recommended because they said it would be a long-term solution. Four days later (on Saturday), while driving on the freeway, the tire had a full catastrophic blowout and completely shredded. I was lucky I was on the far right lane to be able to pull over as a freeway blowout is no small thing. I called the shop to let them know what happened, and instead of any concern or willingness to look into it, I was told patches have "no warranty" and that they don't give refunds. The tone was dismissive, and I was told "come on man, listen to what you're saying," which was surprising given the safety aspect of what happened. For clarity: a tire that is unsafe to repair should not be patched after an inspection, and a tire that is safe to repair should not suffer a catastrophic failure immediately afterward. Either way, this was not handled responsibly. I'm documenting everything, but wanted to leave an honest account in the meantime so others are aware. I expected more care and professionalism from a tire shop given the situation.

View on GoogleI’m sure their work is good, but they quoted me almost double what other tire shops in the area charge for a tire patch. You’re really paying for the convenience if you’re in a pinch, but if you can shop around, you’ll probably save some money.
View on GoogleIf you're looking for affordable used or new tires, stop your search right now and go to L.A. Tires Auto. Ask for Francisco. I drove in without an appointment, with very bad tires on my 1970 Cutlass Supreme (see the photo). Francisco was able to get me into a set of nearly new used tires for a very fair price. The crew there did a great and very professional job replacing all 4 tires, and did it pretty darn quickly too. The next time I need tires, I'm calling Francisco first. Thanks to everyone at L.A. Tires & Auto an enjoyable experience.
