This was my first visit to High Octane Automotive. I came for an oil change. I was surprised to be given a ride home and a pick up ride after the work was completed. In addition to the oil change, a maintenance check was performed. A number of recommendations were made. None of the recommendations were out of line. I knew that each recommendation was valid and necessary. I was also given a 'heads up' of a condition to watch that will require correction in the future. I appreciated knowing this early so I can plan ahead. I am very happy with the work provided by High Octane Automotive and plan to become a regular customer.

I took my car in for a service which they performed efficiently. I was then told that my break lines needed to be flushed, my fuses needed to be changed and both control arms on the front wheels needed replacement; a job that would take a day and a half and cost about $2500. They were even kind enough to show me the scuff marks on the bushings that indicated I needed to replace the entire control arm despite the car giving a very smooth ride. It turns out that you don't need to replace the entire control arm if it's just the bushings that are bad, most mechanics can replace a control arm in 2 hours, and the second mechanic I went to said the control arms and bushings are fine. Needles to say, I won't be going back.

I brought in a Chevy I purchased and requested a complete diagnostic after witnessing some issues while driving the vehicle for the first time. High Octane Automotive quickly assessed the problems and made expert recommendations for repairs. Completed all repairs including wheel alignment, AC, brakes, some cosmetic repairs, and a punctured tire in about 6 hours. Roberta, the office manager was very helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. The owner, I believe was Charles, was also very pleasant to work with during my visit. It is not hard to see why they recently received awards for excellent service eight years running. I will be returning if/when my vehicle requires service.

There not up front to tell you they charge $50 to look at your car. They're not up front to tell you that they don't fix bent rims themselves. They make you wait two hours to give you a list of repairs costing around $1,600 that you didn't need or ask them to look at. I fixed the bent wheel at a welder and waited only an hour. They quoted me a two day wait to fix the bent wheel and $100 more than the welder charged me and they were going outsource that job. My car drives fine now after having the welder fix the bent rim and going to Firestone for lifetime alignment services. Firesstone told me the $1,600 in fixes were not necessary to resolve the vibration issue.
