After putting new spark plugs in our gen 3 prius ourselves and still not fixing the engine shudder, we decided to take it into Mike at Electric Avenue. He immediately knew what the problem probably was (head gasket) and gave us a clear breakdown of the price and time frame. They were so thorough and great! Thanks guys!

A Godsend shop for my Gen2 Prius: My ‘05 prius is now 20 years old, so things are starting to go. Luckily I found Mike and the team here a couple of years ago when they helped me save over a grand on a repair compared to the Toyota dealership. This time my hybrid battery finally died after 20 years. After quoting me the price on a recertified battery, which is more affordable than a new one, they later called and were unable to install it due to a minor defect. So they sent someone to a Toyota dealership, picked up a new one, and installed it at the same discounted price of the recertified one. Same day! So another experience where they saved me $1000. Not only that, Mike offers a family friendly like vibe that I have never found at any other dealership or chain shop. As busy as they are, they somehow find a way to do great work in a timely manner. Oh, and they even called me an Uber ride home and back to the shop when my car was ready. Highly recommend!

Mike and electric ave are life savers for my 2013 Chevy volt. I recently took my car in on short notice after I broke down, they got me back up and running with a diagnostic and cleared the codes for me. Mike is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them for anyone with a Prius, bmw i3/i8, Tesla's, volt, or any hybrid vehicle. At this point in my vehicles life, repairs are exceeding the cost of my vehicle, but they still treat me with great care.

Mike was extremely rude. On the phone. Said he was in between moving cars or something. But that’s why you have other mechanics on staff to help you with that. If you are the main owner of the shop? You are SUPPOSED to be KIND, and CARING, and CONSIDERATE, of potential customers, who are calling you with honest questions related to their car. I’m actually disappointed, because I am a potential repeat customer….. and when I went the first time to see Mike, he was much kinder and more open and helpful to my concerns. I’m contacting him now, a few years later, about a brake concern related to my Prius, and he had the worst bad attitude on the phone. He was really impatient and rude. Like he had better things to do, than to answer the question of a potential REPEAT customer. I called him with a concern about my brakes and based off what I told him, (he sounded rushed and impatient) he quoted me a price for the repair. Now… it’s kind of pricey for me. I may have to shop around, for a second opinion. I wouldn’t feel the need for that, if Mike didn’t sound so impatient, like he was just in a rush, to hang up, and get to more important things. It’s not cool how bad he behaved on the phone. That bad impatient attitude, turns good customers AWAY. Do BETTER Mike. Take genuine time to LISTEN to your customers (especially if they are potential REPEAT customers). Do NOT have such an impatient BAD ATTITUDE when people are asking you questions regarding repairs. People have real concerns about these repairs… and they want honest caring answers, for their concerns.

I have a 2015 Chevy Spark EV and I did not want to get ripped off by a dealership service department again. I'd heard great things about this place so I called and Mike asked me to come in the next morning. When I arrived they immediately took my car. A couple of hours later they figured out why the windshield washer motor wasn't working (a fuse, they replaced) and they diagnosed that the intermittent warning light on my dash was a phantom code which they reset. They also checked and refilled my tires, checked both batteries and made sure the entire car was completely sorted out. All in a couple of hours at a price impossible to beat. This place is HONEST, the mechanics know exactly what they're doing and you can rest assured you will be treated with respect here and not ripped off. If you have a hybrid, EV or hydrogen car out of warranty, this should be your one and only mechanic. I'm so grateful I found them.
