Complete Automotive Systems

I've been taking my cars to Complete Automotive for at least 15 years now, the service has always been great so It’s about time I give them a shout out. Three main things that make CAS my go to - Convenience, they always accommodate quickly. I can usually bring the car in on the day, or the next morning, and I’ve never have had to leave the car for days before they get the work done. Usually, it’s a one day affair, sometimes an overnight if they’re waiting on parts. The prices are reasonable, and well worth the quality of service. It’s LA, so nothing is cheap, but their rates are fair for the level of service I’ve always received. John the GM is a good guy and will personally check in on the progress. The man even took a ride with me once to identify an engine bay sound I was hearing. Great mechanics, they diagnose the work needed in a timely fashion. I can’t remember ever having to bring the car back because they missed something, and they don't try to hard sell additional unnecessary work. I like the new online work order system they have, showing you pics of the items that need attention. They even break it down to urgent stuff and issues that can wait a bit. I’ve recommended them to friends and would do the same for anyone who lives in the area.

The mechanic that worked on my car was very helpful. I never got the feeling they were trying to swindle me into getting things fixed that I didn’t need or charging me for things they didn’t fully explain. So the actual dealership for my car told me I had an issue that these guys discovered wasn’t the actual issue at all! Not only that, these guys quoted me a much lower price than the dealership, and still fixed the real problem with the car. They were very honest, upfront, and communicated with me every single step of the way. Forget my dealership, these guys are my new mechanics!

Came in for a pre-purchase inspection. The process was great. However, one of their techs clearly misplaced my dashcam, as I usually take photos before sending my car to a mechanic. It's my mistake that I noticed it late, but they were not helpful in mending the situation. They, in fact, refused to accept that they touched my dashcam, which I find hard to believe as accessing the air filter might necessitate taking out the wire for the dashcam.

Complete Automotive Systems is the only place that I, my wife, or my grown kids will take our cars. Since we discovered them 6 years ago, we've been elated with their service. Bob, John, and John are trustworthy, dependable, friendly, and transparent, with incredible integrity. Unlike the "stealerships" run by the car manufacturers' in-hose repair operations, CAS's pricing is very fair, and they do their best to save customers' money while never compromising their work or cutting corners. I'm a tough critic and I don't give compliments lightly. These guys are absolutely the greatest!

This place is overpriced and not transparent about what work needs to be done to your car. You will leave the lot with the same issues you had before and them asking for more money. I can understand being expensive if the work done is good, but the work isn’t good. Very disappointed by car service and customer service at this place. Update based on reply: As you can see the people who run this shop are incredibly rude. This was the exact way I was spoken to when trying to resolve the issues with my car. They missed quoted me not once but twice with errors in their own processes. The first time by bill came back $400 more because “they forgot to include the part price” which is not on the me, that’s on them. The second time I came back with the same issue they were supposed to fix the first time they sent a quote for $1,112 on shopmonkey for me to sign and authorize both services. When I called to say that sounds really expensive for both of the services for time and labor would actually be $874 if I do them together… But what it showed to get both done on shopmonkey together was over $200 more trying to get an extra $200 out of me. Luckily there are other great auto shops around that aren’t overpriced with better customer service. I was able to save over $400 looking not too far away. These are hard times and if you don’t want to worry about getting an overpriced quote, subpar customer service, and questionable ethics there are other autoshops around
