Genuinely the best mechanic I've been to. They did a complete inspection of my car, except for the engine, completely free. Then did another diagnosis on broken down car (accurate results) for free. I ended up wanting to tow it out and the kept it for 3 days no problem. Even helped me get it ready to tow it out. Honest, punctual, quick, fair, and, most importantly, really nice. Highly recommend them for any car service you need.

Thanks to Kyle for fast response. I have been to many shops but their team really did a good job at my old car. Engine mount replaced on my scion xb 2011 and so far no problems at all after they did installation.

Flat tire on a Sunday, great. I go there because it’s open. They don’t have my tire (low profile) so I tell them that I have my 4 old tires I can bring if it’s easier. They tell me to come back Monday. Next day I’m here at 8:30 with my original tires. The manager tells me it will take 1 hour 30 minutes max. I walk around and wait but when I come back it seems like there are more problems. First we are missing a spacer, then there is no sensors, then the lug nuts are not the right ones. Everybody kept telling me “it will be ready soon”. It’s now 11:30am (3h later). I have to say “be real with me because I’m missing work right now. If y’all need more time just tell me and I’ll come back tonight.” They finally tell me that they need more time. I’m gone. I come back the same night, $450 for new lug nuts because the low profiles were too long (expensive but OK…). They messed up my low profiles lug nuts so I can’t use them anymore (5 of them), at least they had the decency to tell me that, even if at first they came asking me gor how long did I have the car.. smh. They also broke my Audi logo wheel cap. So after a whole day at the shop, $450 for lug nuts I could have bought at Autozone, I can’t put my low profiles rims/tires back on anymore and i have a missing cap they didn’t even pay for or offer to fix. I’ll never come back. Update next day. Just took my old rims inside. They heavily messed them up and scratched them. If you have expensive rims (mine are 2k), don’t go there.

I stopped by Big Brand tires in Canoga Park last week because one of my tires was registering that it was low on air. I thought I may have a nail in the tire. The manager there (Kyle) was very helpful and checked the tire for me. Sure enough there was a nail in it. He had one of the guys take care of it and I was out of there within a half hour! The best part I found out is that they don't charge for flat tires! Made my day! I will definitely be going back when I need new tires!

I’ve been coming to Big Brand Canoga Park for four years, and up until now I’ve had mostly positive experiences with their tire and alignment services. The technicians are skilled, professional, and the actual work they do has generally been solid. This review is not about the quality of their work, but how mistakes are handled when they happen. Today, I brought my car in for an alignment. While moving my car into the garage, the mechanic broke my sun visor. To be fair, I don’t fully blame him for the break itself, since the visor had already been repaired by an auto mechanic just two days prior, and I had been warned not to pull on it too forcefully because it could break again. I was sitting in the waiting area by the window and clearly watched the mechanic pull the visor down with excessive force, apparently trying to block glare while driving into the garage. The visor broke, and I saw him immediately trying to fix it. At that point, I honestly wasn’t upset and probably wouldn’t have even mentioned it if he had simply reattached it properly and acknowledged what happened. However, when I got my car back, the visor was hanging completely off with wires exposed. A staff member spoke to the mechanic who had worked on my car, and he completely denied ever touching the visor at all. That was the moment the situation became frustrating. I had to step in and explain that I personally watched him break it and attempt to fix it from the waiting area window. The manager was then brought over, but instead of addressing the issue professionally, he tried to force the visor back into place despite me explaining that there was a screw right next to him and showing him how it actually needed to be secured. He was dismissive, “fixed” it improperly, and walked away without any apology, explanation, or acknowledgment of what had happened. We’re all human, and mistakes happen at work. The broken visor itself honestly wasn’t a big deal at all. I was already planning to take it back to the shop that originally repaired it. What bothered me was the lack of accountability, the dishonesty, and the poor customer service from both the mechanic and management. I’ll also acknowledge my own part in this: I should have warned the mechanic beforehand that the visor had recently been repaired and was fragile. At the same time, the staff and manager should have acknowledged and apologized for accidentally damaging it. This also reminded me of another incident from 2024 when I purchased a set of tires from them. One tire was never properly inflated after installation. Because Teslas sometimes have delayed TPMS responses, I brought the low pressure reading to the mechanic’s attention when one tire was still showing pressure in the low 20s. I was told it was fine and to keep driving for another 20–30 minutes. I did, but the pressure never corrected itself. When I returned the next day, they checked again and realized that tire had in fact never been inflated properly. At the time, there was no acknowledgment of the mistake, compensation, or concern about potential damage. Unfortunately, that tire has had ongoing pressure issues ever since and has worn out faster than the other tire purchased at the same time. All of this is to say: mistakes happen in every business. What matters most is how those mistakes are handled and how customers are treated afterward. Accountability, honesty, and professionalism go much further than pretending a mistake never happened.
