WARNING: Misdiagnosis, Failed Repair, and Merchant Admission of Fault ​I hired AutoFix Mobile Mechanic (Francisco) on November 16, 2025, to fix a no-start issue on my 2012 GMC Acadia SLT. My experience was an immediate failure to diagnose the issue, a highly questionable repair, and ultimately, a breakdown within 48 hours. I paid $700 for absolutely no fix. ​1. Multiple, Conflicting Diagnoses ​Initial Diagnosis: Two mechanics diagnosed a faulty fuel pump and quoted $500 for the fix. ​Revised Diagnosis: After towing my car to his shop, Francisco called to say the fuel pump was fine. The new diagnosis was a faulty alternator that had killed the battery. I paid $700 for these replacements, despite questioning why the initial $85 diagnosis was completely wrong. ​2. The Baffling "Root Issue" When Francisco returned the car on November 17, he stated the real problem was a short circuit in the fuse box. He provided unsafe and bizarre instructions to operate the vehicle: ​To stop engine humming, I was told to manually pull a fuse. ​To turn the car off, I had to take the key out, then repeatedly drive the car forward and backward until the engine stopped running. ​He admitted the fuse box needed replacing but charged me $700 for parts (alternator/battery) that he knew would not solve the problem. When I questioned this, he became defensive. ​3. Complete Failure and Merchant's Admission ​Breakdown: Just two days later, on November 20, the brand new battery was completely dead, and the car would not start. The $700 repair failed immediately. ​Proof of Fault: When I contacted Francisco, he sent me a text message stating: "We told you if you don’t get the electrical (fuse box issue fixed) it would kill your battery and alternator again." ​This text message confirms he knowingly performed and charged for a repair ($700) that he understood would fail because he refused to fix the actual problem (the electrical short). This constitutes a clear failure to provide the service I paid for. I am currently disputing the charge with my bank. ​Avoid this service. Francisco wasted my money, damaged my vehicle (by instructing me to repeatedly pull fuses and drive oddly to turn it off), and then refused to provide assistance. ​Final response: To counter the merchant’s defense, I have access to video footage that proves the vehicle was not driven since immediately after the repair: ​Evidence Location: Wells Fargo bank security cameras (facing the front of the vehicle) and Burbank high-school security cameras (located directly behind the car). ​Proof: This footage will confirm the car remained parked on the street after I struggled briefly to turn it off on Monday, Nov 17th 2025 you left the car. The car was not driven between the time it was parked and the time the battery was found dead on Thursday, November 20, 2025. I am currently disputing the charge with my bank.

Francisco and company came to do a “repair” on one of my work vans. The van was having an issue turning over, and after charging me $55 for an inspection (I was notified of the fee AFTER the inspection), Francisco and his worker determined that I needed a new starter. The problem is after paying $500 for a new starter, my van still wouldn’t start. After hours of trial and error, the mechanic decided to clean my battery terminals. Once finished, the mechanic determined it was a dirty terminal/battery issue, and not the starter. I could have cleaned the battery terminals for free. I could have bought a new kit for the terminals for $20 on Amazon. Instead, I’m out $500 for a starter I didn’t need. I tried looking for a solution with Francisco. I tried to be understanding as I am a business owner as well, and I know mistakes happen. However, Francisco only offered me my $55 inspection fee back. At first, I was insulted. I could have a asked for a complete refund. But then I thought to myself, I’ll just take the $55 and be done with this problem. We are going on 4 days, I have been left on read multiple times, and am still waiting on the $55. I tried to be nice but instead feel taken advantage of. I know how costly these reviews are to businesses, I hope it was all worth your $55.

He made my car feel like it was brand new again! I have a Honda Civic that I've had for about 11 years now and she still running. But her brakes were making her unsafe to drive and I was going to give her to my husband so we can finally have two cars after we bought a new car. Before I officially give it to my husband I really wanted to make sure my Honda Civic was both fixed and good to drive. He fixed up all 4 of my breaks as unwanted and replaced the cabin filter and air filter. He even fix an under part of my car that was damaged that I didn't even ask him to fix which was really nice of him. Even recommended me another part of my car back needed to be fixed in the future. I'm definitely going to go to him for any of my future car repairs. Thanks again my car feels good as new 😊

They did a great job diagnosing my car! They don't over charge and are genuine. Dude, I've met so many shady mechanics in my time and these ain't it. I've had to drive up to Long Beach just to find a decent shop, but these guy's will be my go to mechanics here in the Valley if I'm in a bind. Currently having my Camry's head gasket replaced, let's see how it goes 🤞. Give these guy's a chance you won't regret it. Oh ,you can also text them if they are too busy to answer your call. Some advice, get your own parts and there won't be no complications: communication is key.
