Audi Van Nuys Service Department

I had a great first experience at Audi Van Nuys as I just moved from Calabasas to Burbank and moved my service of my Q5 to here and it was a pleasure. Christian was professional and a straight shooter and I appreciate the uber to and from the dealership as well. I’ll be back for sure. Greg P Russell

I went in for a software recall, but it would have been helpful to know what reason the recall was for before going. I asked this when I was initially called by an Audi rep to first come in, but all she could tell me was "it's a software recall" and that it wasn't a safety issue, so I could come in whenever it was convenient. I also tried looking for a reason in my Audi app, but nothing was described there, either. I was hoping the recall was for the glitchy CarPlay issue but sadly, no. So when I got there for my appointment, it was to find out that there's an issue with Homelink (garage door) which didn't apply to me since my garage door is too old to connect with Homelink. I went ahead and had the Homelink software issue corrected just in case I move to a newer home in the near future, and was told that Audi and Apple are working on the CarPlay issue which apparently a lot of us are having, but they couldn't tell me when it would be fixed. For those wondering, CarPlay doesn't always connect, either through bluetooth or plug-in, which I also wish I'd known before purchasing my car in late December 2024. But I will say that Vince in the Service Department was very nice, and ensured I didn't end up waiting more than an hour while they fixed the Homelink issue, and also ran a general diagnostic test on my car, to make sure everything else (brakes, coolant, etc.) was working properly. This is why I'm giving 3 stars for the service department - I appreciated Vince's transparency on the CarPlay status (even though it was late and not certain when it'll be fixed) and not having to wait too long, but there is still room for improvement.

Horrible service. I had to call three times (Friday morning, Monday morning, and Tuesday Morning) to get my service advisor Jordan to give me an update on my car. When they fixed it, they delivered it dirty with signs of debris from the repair on the inside of the car (it was a sunroof fix). This service center does not care about giving communication about the repair, delivering your car in a timely manor, or delivering it to you clean - or even as clean as you dropped it off. This is my third time working with Jordan and he did not communicate to me about my vehicle any of the three times. I had to wait 30 extra minutes after the repair was done for them to clean it to an acceptable fashion. They said the cars are held in a dusty area and it was cleaned an hour earlier and “the washer sucks”. Somehow the loaner vehicles and higher end Audis they work on look spotless at pick up. Not sure why mine should be treated any different. It’s bad business practice after bad business practice here. I asked for a manager to call me and they never did. Stay away.

Received outstanding customer service from Martin. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend him to anyone who needs help.
