This place is really transparent, communicative and doesn’t try to upsell you on things. I found them after being overcharged by pep boys on PCH for years for work that often didn’t last and was tired of it. I would definitely recommend coming here. The manager/owner I think? Willie is nice, straightforward, and doesn’t give you any used car salesmen vibes.I will continue to take my car here in the future.

Fantastic experience at Long Beach Auto-Tech! I gave them a quick call to confirm availability and dropped my car off the following morning to get my breaks serviced. The entire experience was easy and painless - they provided fast service with a great price. Also very nice to see that they are LGBTQ+ friendly - can confirm, it was a great experience!

Long story short: LB auto tech forgot to put a part back in my car (and I drove home without the part in my car), and also charged me for tests that should’ve identified a root issue, but somehow didn’t identify it. I called them to give them the opportunity to do the right thing and issue a partial refund. They refused to issue any refund for these oversights. I wouldn’t have wrote this review had they demonstrated accountability. The long story: 2 weeks ago, I took my car to this shop with engine overheating issues. They forgot to put a part back in my car and I drove home without this part in my car before they called to tell me. They said they performed tests to test the coolant pressure system and I was charged for this (but they failed to identify the core issue with the water pump, despite that being a test that would reveal that). Days after these tests and the refilling of my coolant, the check engine light and temperature light came on. I called them about this and they suggested my coolant get refilled. I told them they already did that. I took the car to another shop and they immediately found the issue was with the water pump and also identified my coolant should be flushed (which is something my friend who knew about cars recommended, which I told lb auto tech, but they didn’t do that—just refilled). Once again, pressure test LB Auto-Tech charged me for should have identified the water pump issue. It is also not normal for coolant to run low without there being an underlying issue, so I’m surprised they thought it was solved by just a refill. I called them to give them the opportunity to do the right thing and give me a partial refund for not only failing to identify the root cause of my cars problem when they supposedly performed the tests that would’ve identified it, but also forgetting to put a part back in to the point I drove home without it. Upon calling, they said I should’ve taken my car back to their shop. But in my mind, it’s reasonable for me to not want to go back to a shop that seemed to have some level of oversight. Why would I want to get charged for these tests a second time, knowing they failed to find the issue the first time, especially when another shop could and did solve the problem using the same tests? Anyways, they refused to provide an any refund at all, which to me shows a lack of integrity. I understand we all make mistakes, but when we have integrity we own up to them. Unfortunately, because this shop wasn’t willing to do that in any regard, I would not recommend them. I wouldn’t have wrote this review if they demonstrated accountability for their oversight.

I had a great experience with this auto shop and highly recommend them. Willie was the gentleman who helped me, and he was extremely professional, communicative, and efficient throughout the entire process. My alternator failed unexpectedly, and they were able to get my car worked on within the same hour, which I truly appreciated. Communication was smooth from start to finish — I was able to easily contact Willie, and he kept me informed every step of the way. The pricing was very reasonable given how quickly and efficiently the work was done. I also appreciated that he took the time to talk with me about other auto work I may need in the future. I waited a bit before posting this review just to make sure everything was running properly, and I’m happy to say the car has been great. If you’re looking for honest, fast, and reliable service, I definitely recommend reaching out to this shop.

Willie was great! Great, honest mechanic and completed the repairs same day! Nice facility/ garage. I will definitely return.
