I had a transmission issue with my 2014 Subaru Impreza. A different transmission shop quoted me $2500+ to replace the entire valve body and said it was the only way to fix the issue. I called John and explained the error code and situation. He evaluated the car and confirmed that just the lock-up solenoid could be replaced given this particular error code. He got my car in and out in two days and it was under $900 before tax. He saved me a ton of money and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He also called to follow up with me to make sure the car was running smoothly. An honest and friendly technician - I would highly recommend El Monte Transmission! I'm so glad I called John!
