Wondries Toyota Service Department

I hate to share negative reviews but I need everyone to be aware of my experience here. Since I got my car back in 2020, I’ve been going to this service department in Alhambra and hadn’t had a problem with the service or quality of service done to my car, until this year. I had two incidents this year where the service department messed up. The first time, they were able to fix it, service rep was kind, offered multiple options. This last time was completely terrible. I went in to have my cars oil and brakes changed, nothing else. Gordon offered the multi point inspection and said it could take a while. They had my car for 3 hours. 3 hours for what? Oil changed, I hope so. Brakes changed, no “they were still okay”. Before leaving the tire pressure light was on. Sometimes my car will have it on and will go away when I’m driving so I didn’t think it was a big deal. I started to feel like something was off though. My steering wheel was going off to the right side. I had to push my wheel back to the left side for it to drive normally. Until ultimately, the tire just gave out. All these big red flags and the service department is not at fault? I had never had a tire pop. A flat tire, yes. A flat tire due to a nail, yes. Never have I ever had my entire tire POP. I wasn’t even 5 min away from the dealership when my entire front right tire popped. I was absolutely terrified and enraged. Wouldn’t you think if you brought your car in, they would’ve checked tire pressure? Weren’t they suppose to do a multi-point inspection? Wouldn’t you think they’d give you heads up about a nail in your tire? After having it for 3 hours? The service department manager swore up and down this was because of a nail. It was not just because of a nail. They filled up the tire way past its limit. They were negligent. They simply were not doing their job. They replaced my tire but only because I have an insurance package. If not, they were already trying to charge me for their own mistake. And for the cherry on top, while I was trying to figure out what to do, Gordon was no where to be found. He went completely MIA after leaving me a voicemail that my car was ready… He didn’t come back out until I was back at the service department speaking to his supervisor. I’m never going back here and I don’t think anyone’s mother, daughter or wife should come here. I would hate for anyone to experience this ALONE or let alone with their child.

There is no point in making an appointment. It's always a 2 to 3 hour wait. I have 5 pre bought oil changes left and now regret ever buying them. Will definitely go to a different service department moving forward. This time that I went the service advisor made me wait for him to finish a text message he was currently working on. He literally said "I'll be right with you after I finish this text". I'm not sure but that seems like a display of unprofessionalism while being polite. But here I am at a 2 hour wait so far for just an oil change. Full disclosure, I had already written a good review after I bought the car because of how good a job they did at selling it to me but in 4 years that has been the only pleasant experience at Wondries

I went there today but my Lifetime Free Oil Change was denied. I was supposed to get free oil change every 6 months as long as I own the car. It was part of the deal offered by them when I bought my car. was told by their Service Manager that the dealership had changed. The new management shall continue honer this offer as they are still Toyota Dealer. Changing management shall not waive their liability. I am very disappointed.

This review is for Service Dept. Nelson S was helping me for first time & it was a great service . Professional, honest & helpful from the beginning. Appreciated the help. All the staffs seems helpful too.

Final straw. Worst service department. I have used this place multiple times and every time something wrong happens. I’ve had my oil changed and driven home to find that they didn’t tighten the cap properly and woke up to find my parking space filled with oil, had to take it back and have them do it again. Then I’ve had my oil cap not put back on which took me weeks to notice that it was missing and I had to find a replacement at another dealership. After the last time I took it in I realized my skid plate was remounted wrong and one of the bolts had been stripped out due to someone trying to jam it back on. Finally, I get a flat tire yesterday and realize my specialty lugnut is missing. Only explanation being that when they rotated the tires last time they did not return it to the glove box. On top of this, it takes like 4 hours to get something simple like an oil change done.
