I have a 2019 Ford F150. I took it to the dealership because I felt like it wasn’t shifting right. After testing the transmission the dealership said I needed a new CDF drum and might need a replacement transmission. Ford was not willing to help me at all so I called Tri-City.. They were very receptive and asked me a lot of questions about what was happening and what I noticed different about the transmission. I sent it into them on a Monday by Wednesday they called in said the transmission was functioning fine and reset was all that was needed. Dave and Chris were very helpful throughout the whole process. Very honest forthright people. They will be the only transmission shop I ever recommend from here on out.

Tri-City Transmission is the place to go in the Phoenix area if you’re having transmission problems. I first took my vehicle to my regular repair shop for a transmission issue. After a brief inspection, they told me I needed a complete transmission replacement and quoted me nearly $8,000. Repair wasn’t even presented as an option. Next, I called the dealership. They told me they were so backed up that I would have to leave my vehicle there for five days before they could even look at it. Still hoping for another opinion, I called a transmission specialist recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, as soon as I mentioned that I had a 2020 Chevy Traverse with a 9-speed transmission, he told me he didn’t work on those transmissions. Thankfully, I remembered that my dad had taken a vehicle to Tri-City Transmission more than 20 years ago. From my very first phone call, the experience was different, in a good way. I spoke with the owner, Dave. He was friendly, listened carefully, and took the time to understand the problem. Most importantly, he gave me a clear and specific timeline. He told me, “Bring it in Monday at 8:00 a.m., and we’ll call you Wednesday between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. with an update, including both a best-case and worst-case repair scenario.” That’s exactly what happened. The communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. They set expectations, followed through on what they promised, and kept me informed every step of the way. In the end, Dave and his team were able to repair my transmission for less than one-third of what I had been quoted for a replacement elsewhere. I couldn’t be happier with the communication, transparency, diagnostic process, repair quality, timeline, and overall cost. Tri-City transmission is excellent! I took my vehicle to my normal repair shop and was told I needed a new transmission and was quoted $12,500. After putting some deep thought into such an expensive repair, I thought it would be best to get a second opinion. I contacted Tri-City transmission and set up a simple diagnostic where the technician Dave did ride along with me in my vehicle and then explain their processes and even showed me the shop. They kept my vehicle an extra day for Further diagnostics. They called me back within 24 hours and thoroughly explained their diagnostic and said they were able to repair the transmission for $3,500. I was thoroughly impressed with Tri-City transmission and will continue to use them and refer them to anybody that is having transmission issues. Thank you guys again 🙏🏻
