Sorry but if I could give zero stars I would. Where do I begin? So I had my Volvo pulled in there late at night last week. I checked my codes so I knew it was probably fuel pump related but I wasn't sure which part yet. Could have been the fuel pump, or could have been the PEM, the pump Electronic Module. So I waited for them to give the diagnosis. First of all they send you a list of all the things that you could possibly do on your car, most which isn't necessary at all. All in all they wanted $8,000 worth of work. Lol.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 They have things listed like new spark plugs which I just replaced a year ago with Platinum plugs that are good for 80,000 MI. There's nothing wrong with the plugs. They also said the rotors in the front needed to be changed because they were warped. This is also not true because the car does not shake at all when you press on the brake it's entirely smooth. They wanted $135 for a little hose that was leaking coolant which I replaced for about $5.00 They also recommended replacing the lower control arms because they said the rubber was in bad shape. While it's true the rubber was not in great shape, I usually spray these with AT-205 at every oil change. They do not make any noise so I'm not replacing them at this time. Onto the diagnosis now. I paid them $218 for a false diagnosis. They assured me it was a bad pump. The cost for parts and labor was over $2,400. They either neglected to check the pem, or didn't know what the hell they were doing. I did replace the pump myself for $200. That however didn't fix the problem. It was a pem, a $30 part on Amazon. So I put a fuel pump in for nothing but at least I have a new pump. This is not the only shop that does these kinds of silly ridiculous things. And if you don't know what you're doing you're going to get ripped off. Who in their right mind today can spend $2,400 on a fuel pump especially with a bad diagnostic that cost you over $200? This is why I avoid shops whenever I possibly can. Not impressed with AAA that's for sure it'll be the last time I ever take a car there.

I had a very good experience at AAA Service in Tempe on my 2021 Tucson. I had an oil change and overall check. They discovered the beginnings of a crankshaft oil leak, with photos showing it, that could have gotten worse without my knowing. The car had recently had its 5 year, 60,000 mile dealer warranty expire, so Robert called our extended warranty company on our behalf. The company was able to cover about 2/3 of the cost, so we went ahead. When a part delay beyond AAA’s control meant that they needed to keep the car an extra day, Robert arranged a complimentary rental car so I didn’t have to cancel my appointments or be inconvenienced. 2 weeks later I can assure that the job was done right. The service center was clean and efficient, and all the office staff were professional and attentive. I will be returning to make sure the vehicle stays in top condition.

I love this shop. I've been to a other mechanics shop in the Tempe area and I prefer this one by far. I love that i can take my car in for a specific diag but they also take the time to give my vehicle a once over, I sure the hell ain't crawling in my engine bay or under my car to see what's what. I wouldn't even know what im looking at. They called and were clear on what the issue was, what was needed to complete the repair and then what was needed to test the engine to make sure it was up to par. Everything was easy to understand and they even provided a report or items that needed taken care of (when I was ready to do them). This shop has excellent communication, they're clean, fast, friendly and amazing customer service. I definitely trust them with my car and my son's car. I highly recommend this shop!

My car wouldn’t start, so I had it towed here because it was close to my house. I was initially told the repair would take about two days since a part needed to be shipped in. However, it ended up taking over a week due to repeated delays—they said the part was backordered and then that the first one arrived faulty. I later noticed other reviews mentioning similar delays, which was concerning . I understand that delays can happen, and one employee did try to be helpful throughout the process. While my car was there, I also agreed to an oil change and brake fluid service only after being given coupons by another employee. When I presented the coupons on the day of pick up, I was told they would not be honored because they had “already helped out with some costs.” What was especially frustrating is that the coupons were for separate maintenance services, not related to the repair they had already discounted, so it didn’t make sense that they wouldn’t be honored. Didn’t feel like good moral standing for a company. The interaction also felt dismissive and unprofessional. I also felt like I may have been overcharged despite the claimed discounts. The employee emphasized multiple times how much they were “knocking off,” which came across as forced rather than reassuring. Overall, the extended delay combined with the inconsistency around pricing left a bad impression. I personally wouldn’t return, as there are plenty of other options in the area

We love having this AAA garage in our neighborhood. At my last visit, a courtesy check, Timothy was awesome. Besides checking our car battery, he not only diagnosed the problem with our rear view mirror, he fixed it too. Thank you, Timothy!
