I went in for a simple tire change and balance 2/27/26 around 1pm for my 2002 Honda s2000. Towards the end the service rep walks over to me and stated that one of lug nuts stripped on the lug on the front passenger side and they have to remove it. I told them that's fine if they are going to replace it, they apologized for the inconvenience . The tech working at the time removed the lug stud by cutting it out and then took off the knuckle to see what's needed. I have arp 100-7712 lugs that are extended. They ended up blaming it on the hardware of the lug nut being faulty. The lug nuts I have are 6 months old and I've rotated my tires on my car by myself multiple times in-between oil changes and valve adjustments. This is a dual purpose vehicle capable of being daily driven and sees the racetrack/spirited driving with thousands in safety equipment and suspension components. They quoted me for a service for around $330ish to replace the wheel bearing and lug studs dollars which I declined because I believe for them to be at fault. They were able to get the wheel completely off no problem. But somehow the lug nut was stripped on the stud before the tire was back on. The tech believes the hardware that I have is faulty. The front wheel hubs, bearings and lug studs were replaced in October 2025. Since then I've done multiple tire rotations with my new hardware with no issue. I declined the repair as this was working fine for thousands of miles as this is my daily driver. I ended up leaving the shop with only 4 lugs on front passenger at a discounted rate of $80 for the mount and balance. They still charged me, which is fair. Come today 2/28/26 I put my car up for an inspection as it was driving a little weird since. I removed the tire and checked the components they touched. One thing to note is that they never put on the valve stem caps. They also over torqued my outer tie rod with no cotter pin. They did fine on the upper control arm ball joint but I am going to remove the knuckle and retorque to spec. If they missed valve stems and cotter pins with over torqued outer tire rods. Kerry's car 'care' on 8294 W lake Pleasant pkwy, definitely don't 'care' from the work the tech showed. Attached will be pictures of the work done. Other than that the wheels and tires were mounted and balanced fine. Just sucks that I won't be trusting this shop's techs for my vehicles. Front desk service was great however. Edit 2/28/26 @ 6:43pm I got everything torqued to factory specs, the tie rods are now good with a cotter pin and lower ball joint torque was corrected. What I didn't know is that every single wheel lug torque had different values, ranging from 120ft lbs minimum onwards just trying to loosen and measure with a torque wrench. Factory specs for this specific car is 80ft lbs. This indicates that the tech used an impact and over torqued them without checking torque values, which probably caused the issue in the first place. DO NOT go to this shop as they do not adhere to factory torque specifications. I retorqued the wheels to factory specs and the car drives just fine now.

I highly recommend Kerry's Car Care Peoria and suggest asking for Dan to anyone looking for honest, high-quality, and efficient auto care. I will definitely be returning for all my future maintenance needs!

Emmanuel was SO helpful from start to finish.They truly see and hear me, and treat me with respect even when I don’t speak “car language." From the moment you walk in, the experience is excellent. You’re greeted promptly and warmly, and the space is clean and comfortable. I especially appreciate the designated area for clients who need to stay longer, and for the clean bathroom. I was kept updated throughout the entire process, and they even provided a complimentary Uber ride so I could get home. We were having a hard time diagnosing a sound coming from the front of my car, but their team went above and beyond, testing and retesting, with multiple people involved until they figured it out. I’m SO happy with the result. My car is as quiet as it was when I first bought it! They truly went the extra mile to serve me. I feel safe to travel and looove the quieter ride! Kerry’s is THE BEST! These guys were awesome! Got me in last minute after my radiator gave out and fixed the whole thing in less than 48 hours. Full radiator replacement and coolant flush was a little over $900 , which was better than I was expecting for parts and labor! They were also super polite and didn't talk down or over explain, which is hard to find as a woman bringing in my car. Thanks guys!

Mike and Dan were amazing, I was having a major hundred thousand mile maintenance, I knew it was gonna take all day and it did but they had to wait the next day to take it out for a test drive. I had it within two hours. Mike explained everything to me so I know what I was gonna be paying for he helped me set up their credit card and I can pay it off in six months and I have some more maintenance to do so I’ll be going back to see Mike in a couple of weeks. I have been with Kerry Car Car for probably 6 to 7 years and they’re always reputable, honest, and really helpful. You can’t go wrong with Mike at Kerry Car Car.
