Christian Brothers Automotive McQueen and Guadalupe

I had a really positive experience at Christian Brothers Automotive. They were friendly, professional, and did a great job on my inspection and oil change. I especially appreciated how clearly they explained everything that needed to be done and how they never pressured me into extra repairs or services I didn’t need right away. It made a big difference to feel respected and informed. I’m very thankful for their honesty and great customer service, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy place to take their car.

Had an unexpected surprise leaving work, so I stopped by to see if they could advise me on the situation. They said let's take a look, tech helped me get written up for service. Then he put my vehicle on the lift and came back in and said they could repair it, and i didn't have to replace it🙏. I was all set after a short wait. Everyone was very kind& helpful. The waiting area was clean and relaxing. I appreciate the level of care & support they provided! Keep you up the great job! Thank you!😊

I typically take my Hyundai to the dealership for any repairs. However, ever since they opened for business, I have been curious about the newest Christian Brothers shop on McQueen Rd and Guadalupe Rd, which is within walking distance of where I live. I recently had to replace the two struts that lift the hatchback on my vehicle, and called the dealership about it. After feeling I was not being given helpful information about my question about what a ‘ballpark’ cost might be, I reluctantly made an appt to take it in, which the repair could not be done until the following week. After hanging up from that call, I decided to take the car over to Christian Brothers and just ask them about the replacement cost. I received a straight forward answer from them! Not only that but I was told they could have the parts delivered to their shop immediately and I could have it fixed that day! I left the car for them to fix the problem and immediately called the dealership and cancelled my appt with them! I am so happy that this Christian Brothers shop is so close to where I live! Unless absolutely necessary to use the dealership for whatever needs I have, Christian Brothers will now get my business!

Dishonest, Untrustworthy, and Verbally Aggressive Originally, I took my car in for an Oil Change, Coolant Service, and Transmission Service as my 60,000 mile service was about due. I made an appointment. After 4 hours from drop off, I called and was told only the Oil Change had been completed. I needed my car for work that night as I am an After Hours Hospice Nurse (think of me as a mobile urgent care for our end of life neighbors/family/friends). Christian Brothers refused to allow me to pay for the Oil Change and was told they will see me next day at 7am to complete the jobs. Next day, after waiting 5 hours from drop off, I called and was told they were finishing up. I paid for all 3 services. I was upset that the jobs shouldn't have taken more than 3 hours total, especially when I made an appointment a week prior. After almost 8,000 miles I heard a noise, went to the dealership, my car was immediately looked at by a Master Technician who reported that the Transmission Fluid was never drained and filled as evidenced by the bolt not having indication of tool marks and the fluid came out very dark and nontranslucent. I called Christian Brothers and spoke with Mark who denied me to speak with the owner and was sent to Steve the Store Manager. Steve was very verbally aggressive and reported that services were rendered and then refused to allow me to speak with the owner who then said will relay message to Taylor the General Manager. I spoke with Taylor who was also very verbally aggressive and denied any wrong doing and also denied me to speak with the owner. The Dealership Master Technician spoke with Taylor who again was very verbally aggressive. Taylor then called the dealership and yelled at the Dealership's Master Technician's boss. This is Unprofessional! I'm out $319 plus tax for just the Transmission Service that was not completed! If they do this with me, they most certainly will charge you for jobs they don't complete with you!
