Been going here for years...honest, affordable, and transparent. When you don't know anything about cars (like me) it's easy to get taken advantage of. And yet here...I can't tell you how many times they told me I didn't need something or could get a cheaper option. This last experience truly made my head spin. I had assisted my mom in buying a used car on Carvana. We'd never used them before...so despite the good reviews on them we wanted an extra layer of protection. It was a 2 year old car with only 11k miles on it and it was a honda...so probably fine. But why take the chance. We set up an appointment with Az Automasters to give it a look after it arrived. It took 45 minutes...and this is the crazy part...they didn't even charge us! They still had paid team members open the hood and crawl up under it and didn't charge us a penny. That just doesn't make any sense to me! On the other hand...they have a customer for life in me, my family, and any friend I can recommend. I'm hoping this post helps them as a thank you for being such a fantastic autoshop.

I found AZ Automasters after my last repair shop disappeared. They did a fantastic job on my Jeep. Very quick work, great communication, and the drive home was so smooth. It was also clear they take good care of their staff which is great to see. Highly recommended!

I talked with Mike about performance mods for my Corvette. I had in mind what I would have liked done, but he said I've got ideas that will give you more bang for your buck. He definitely knew his stuff. I liked him so much, I'm having him do them for me. First, he's replacing my harmonic balancer and all related parts. This is preventive work, as they are a known weakness in the C6 Corvette. Next, the good stuff: headers w/ X-pipes, then a supercharger, and tuned for the performance upgrades. I wanted a new camshaft, but Mike said the bang-for-the-buck just wasn't there. It was expensive, there was a lot of associated work that needed to be done, and you just don't get the gains for the cost. He'll also be doing cosmetic work, replacing the headlights and rear lights. This is not as easy as it sounds, because the car's front end has to come off to change the lights. The shop was clean and organized. This is a good sign for a mechanic shop. Everyone I had interacted with was friendly. The glowing reviews brought me into the shop, the performance knowledge convinced me to have them do the work, and once they have completed the mods, I'll update this review.

I’ve been here a few times for various issues. Never once have I felt dismissed or conned. Everyone I have dealt with has been amazingly helpful and clear about pricing and what needs to be done. Notably, my recent experience with them was truly above and beyond. I had already scheduled to bring my car in to get the blower motor replaced. But on my way back to Arizona from a funeral, my check engine light came on, AC stopped working, and my dash temp was stuck at -22 degrees. They not only addressed my original issue, but also diagnosed and fixed my new ones that popped up. My service went from ~$400 to $2700 (which was generally devastating) but they took the time to explain what was wrong, what needed to be replaced, and gave accurate time estimates. Even when issues came up, the crew kept me in the loop and were transparent about costs and the new time to repair. 100/10 experience. Biggest shoutouts to Jessie and Phil. Jessie was there every step of the way and so incredibly helpful and generally just a delight of a person. Poor Phil was the last bearer of bad news (yes I cried over another thing needing to be fixed) but he was so kind and understanding. I’ve been singing the praises for this shop since I came in a while back for a radiator grill issue, but I’m making it official now. I won’t be going anywhere else. This shop and this crew are truly gifts to the community they serve.

UPDATE: Mike the owner reached out and made it right with a full refund. I do appreciate him reaching out and apologizing. I will try the shop out again should I ever need anything done as I feel this is not a common occurrence at this place. Well I came to this shop because of the positive reviews. Took my car to get some suspension work done and the first picture is what I got sent home with. They left a gap between the control arm. They had called me and asked if the car was in an accident or something because of the gap left after replacing the arm but it’s never been in any accidents. I had the car on Jack stands the day prior to taking it in because I was going to do the job myself and it did NOT look like that. My guess is they bent the frame when prying the old arm out. I called once I got home (this is when I inspected the work) and was told they’d call me back, they did not. I went in the next morning and was told “well we can put it back on the lift and check it out, but I’d just drive it like that and come back if you have any issues.” Crazy! Was told that they trusted their techs word and his work. That’s a lot a of trust on somebody that left my car this way. I ended up fixing it myself (picture 2). The wild part is when I was fixing it myself, I noticed the sway bar end link was NOT bolted on and they trashed my brake dust shield on the passenger side (picture 3). Not gonna say avoid the place as plenty of people have left great reviews, but definitely check their work prior to signing anything or leaving the shop. Paid $500 for this. It’s just unacceptable.
