I have 2 Ford Torinos a 1972 and a1974. I have taken both of them to CG Street Rods for engine and suspension work. I am very happy with the work that the did on both of my cars and I would recommend them to anyone I know. Yes the 1974 is a Starsky and Hutch car!!

View on GoogleI took my classic truck down to Allen for some transmission work and it was nothing but a disaster from the start. This is the sloppiest most half way work I’ve ever seen from a mechanic in MY LIFE. The first time I took the truck down he worked on it and it continued to leak. I brought it down a second time and after he” fixed it” the gears were grinding like crazy. I had to physically find another transmission myself and bring it over to him. He halfway put it in not securing any of the bolts and didn’t even put the right amount of transmission fluid in it. When I asked him why the fluid was low he said because “it was hard to get it in.” After this experience I wouldn’t trust him to fix a scooter. If you have a classic car I’m begging you not to take it down here because he will destroy your car. I guess I learned my lesson you get what you pay for.
View on GoogleMeh. Took a diesel intake horn in to get a bung welded on it. Talked it over with the guy in detail (exactly where I wanted it & which orientation it had to be), and he confirmed what needed to be done. After I picked it up & was in the process of installing it, I realized he welded it in backwards...I made do, with some modification on my part. Shouldn't have had to do that though. Weld quality was very good, I will give them that. But this kind of lack of attention to detail is quite concerning, especially from a hot rod shop.
