After submitting an appointment request over their website, a lady returned my call and ultimately offered me an appointment. I decided not to go through with the appointment, however, because the way she attempted to communicate left me mistrustful. She sounded too weak, a little too quiet even though I could hear her, and already a little like she didn't want to bother even though she'd called me to follow up. I wasn't assuming there was a problem that needed to be fixed; I was questioning some preventive maintenance that had been done somewhere else recently, wondering if maybe there was a couple of other steps that should have been added according to some other information I found. This female who called from Midland Automotive, however, said they'd have to take at least a couple of hours to "diagnose" and asked about me just dropping my vehicle off for that. However, I wasn't sure there was anything to be "diagnosed" since that sounds like an assumption that there's a problem when I was talking about adding a couple steps to **preventive** maintenance rather than waiting to see if there would be "symptoms" when sometimes with some things, that just means the car can't be fixed or would be too expensive to fix. In addition to dropping the car off for "diagnosis", however, this otherwise rather weak, overly quiet, and somewhat dismissive female who returned my call made it sound like drop off meant I should leave and go somewhere else while they otherwise took whatever time they would need to "diagnose" the vehicle which I already knew from looking at their website contradicted what it said about being "friendly and comfortable", with being able to take a seat and use complimentary WiFi, etc. I told her I thought I would wait there with my car since I wasn't planning on any other transportation, but even though she said that might be "OK", it sounded like she mostly wanted to discourage me from doing that.
